THIRD PERSON POV:
"I am sorry, Bhabhi. I don’t know how I’m responsible for this, but I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again," he said, holding his ears.
Everyone was in shock to hear him.
"Is that the Devraj Sethi apologizing?" Vivaan exclaimed dramatically.
"Yes, it’s me," Devraj replied, smacking Vivaan's head.
"Okay, okay, let’s head downstairs. The others are waiting to meet them". Shekhar said. They all took a few pictures before leaving.
Soon, more of Arjun’s relatives arrived to bless the couple. None of them seemed interested in getting to know Avni, but they were quick to offer unsolicited advice on how to adjust to life in the royal family. Avni’s family eventually made their way to the stage. Raj spoke with Arjun but avoided even glancing at Avni. Her grandmother stepped forward and blessed them both, just as Arjun’s grandfather appeared on stage.
"Khush raho dono. Jo hua, woh ho gaya. Ab uske baare mein soch kar kuch nahi hoga. Toh aage badho ek doosre ke saath," she said, her voice gentle yet firm.
(Be happy, both of you. What’s done is done. Dwelling on it won’t change anything. Move forward together.)
With that, she moved toward Rajendra, Arjun’s grandfather, exchanged a few words, and then stepped down from the stage. On the other side, Anya suddenly hugged Avni, burying her face in Avni’s neck. She whispered softly into her ear, "Enjoy this while it lasts, dear sister. It won’t be for long." Avni shivered at her words.
As soon as Anya stepped away, Avni’s mother approached her, gently caressing her hair.
"Avni, sabko khush rakhna. Kisiko shikayat ka mauka mat dena, aur sabki baat maanna. Zidd mat karna, beta. Baaki, tum samajhdar ho," she said in a motherly tone.
(Avni, keep everyone happy. Don’t give anyone a reason to complain, and listen to what they say. Don’t be stubborn, dear. You’re smart enough to understand.)
"Mai samajh gayi," Avni replied in a professional tone.
(I understand.)
"Meri bacchi ka dhyaan rakhna, damad ji. Woh thodi na-samajh hai. Agar usse koi galti ho jaye, toh maaf kar dena," Meenal said to Arjun.
(Take care of my daughter, son-in-law. She’s a little naive. If she makes any mistakes, please forgive her.)
"Aap fikar mat kijiye. Mai Avni ka poora dhyaan rakhunga," Arjun replied calmly.
(Don’t worry. I’ll take care of Avni.)
"Meenal, tum Arjun ji ko nahi, apni beti ko samjhao ki woh humari naak na kataye apne sasural mein," Taiji mocked Meenal.
(Meenal, instead of telling Arjun ji, you should teach your daughter how to behave and not embarrass us in front of her in-laws.)
Arjun remained silent, assuming they were upset with his decision but couldn’t directly confront him, so they were venting their frustration this way. Soon, they left the stage, and more guests came forward to meet the couple. Suddenly, a sharp, accusing voice echoed through the banquet hall.
