Author's note: Hi y'all! Hope you are enjoying Three Dumb Ideas! I have been getting a lot of questions about writing 'steamy' sexy scenes. Well to be completely fair I really don't feel comfortable about writing that, based on respect and I don't want to sexualize the drivers. I feel like I am on the edge sometimes with this fanfiction, for example with Maeve's 'sexy' dream (chapter 51) about Max, it wasn't 18+ but it was on the line for me. I hope y'all continue to read this fanfic even without these scenes.

I'm sorry for those who will not continue to read because of this.

Yours faithfully,

Norriszz <3

Race day 2.0

Maeve's point of view

Lap 1/72

My car is placed at the number two spot.

I look at the other Redbull in front of me and two blue eyes meet mine. He winks and closes his vizor.

I focus on the lights, the red lights.

One... two... three...

It's lights out and away we go.

I hit the throttle hard, the car driving forward with a roar. Max has a better start as pole, he doesn't have to worry about people in front, but I manage to hold my position in P2. The crowd's excitement is loud, but I try to push it out of my mind, focusing only on the track in front.

RADIO: How does the car feel, Maeve?

MAE: Good, no understeer or oversteer just now. Everything feels good, let's push.

RADIO: Keep it clean, stay close to Max.

MAE: Copy that

I navigate the last few corners, the car feels elegant, moving in the correct way, the car reacts to my steering wheel how I'd like it to react. Max is just ahead and I am right on his tail. I am pretty aware of Lando and Charles behind me, Charles tries to overtake Norris and while doing that he tries to overtake me, but I defend my position steadily, driving into lap two.

Lap 6/72

Max is in front of me by a few lengths of a car, he is maintaining a pretty steady pace. I feel at ease, at one point driving is just feeling and settling into a rhythm that you only ignore when you fight or overtake someone, my rhythm is settling right now.

Thousands of fans are sitting on the tribunes, 90% of them dressed in complete orange and the colors of the Dutch flag. The sky is gray and dark clouds are filling the crowd.

It looks like it is going to rain soon.

MAE: Owen, what will the weather be?

RADIO: Big raining shower expected in about ten minutes. Keep pushing while you can and get ready for a tire change.

MAE: Alright, thank you

I try to keep up with Max, my concentration is persistent. Each corner needs the perfect balance of speed and control, I adjust my lines to find the best grip each round.

RADIO: You are doing great, Maeve.

MAE: Do I need to improve in anything? Slower speed or something?

RADIO: You are doing perfectly right now, feel what you should change for yourself, we have no complaints.

MAE: Copy.
