Mystic Falls at the present was absolutely bad news galore. Atleast this time, the bad news was directed towards people outside of their group.
There was a new serial killer in Mystic Falls. The medical examiner, Brian Walters had been murdered with a stake through the heart, despite the fact that he was not a vampire. And on the night of the Mikaelson party, their mother Esther had performed some kind of linking spell to connect all siblings together and was going to kill them all in one go.
Based on prior experiences, Jade had very little faith that they would be rid of the Mikaelson pest invasion, but everyone else was very happy about it.
Except for Elena.
"Can one of you go to the pet store and buy a muzzle?" Damon asked, pointedly ignoring Elena's temper tantrum.
Alex looked torn between defending Elena and laughing at Damon's unending jokes. "Don't be mean."
"The muzzle isn't mean. Mean would be me smothering her with a pillow to make sure she doesn't ruin this."
"Elijah doesn't deserve to die! He's been nothing but kind to us!"
Jade gives her a look. "He literally sniffed you when you met the first time. Dude is weird as hell."
Elena whirled on her next. Uh oh. "Shouldn't you atleast care about Rebekah? Considering your relationship?"
Jade looks around the room wildly. "I don't know a Rebekah. Do we know a Rebekah? Rebecca. Rebekah. Funny name. You know English is a funny—"
"Oh my God," Damon says with a groan, "Elena you are banned from talking to Jade. Ever again."
Stefan walks in, looking as serious as he always did lately. "They're right, you know. Klaus has to die. They all do."
Damon raises his glass to his brother. "See? It's democracy in action."
"Sometimes you have to pick the lesser evil, Elena. What's more important? Killing Klaus? Or saving Elijah?"
Elena stays silent. Jade tips her head once in acknowledgement.
Then Elena rushes out of the room, bumping into Damon. He groans when it causes him to spill his glass of bourbon.
Damon puts the half filled glass of bourbon down and opens up a blood bag instead. He starts pouring it into a new glass. "You know, this carpet was a lot cleaner before I knew any of you."
Jade frowns at the carpet. "I washed that a week ago."
In truth, Jade had a feeling that Esther's plan was not going to work. She'd probably have a change of heart at the very last second and this entire plan would blow up in their faces. Worst of all, the siblings would probably try to retaliate due to their involvement and make their lives even harder.
