"Girls let's go! Moms, welcome to Millennium," Abby says as we walk into a new studio, "This week, we are staying right here in California. I wanna talk about the iHollywood Competition. You were not focused on that competition. You were all very friendly to Nickaya. You all behaved like nice young ladies. Moms, not so much."

Abby moves over to start the pyramid, "On the bottom, Kendall. You're back on the team, that's where you have to be. Next, Paige. You're coming off an injury, but you did well. Next, Brooke. You were in the group dance and you did not finish in time with everyone else. Next, we have Maddie. In the group, you kinda just blended in. Next, Nia. You were given something different, the music was very difficult for me to choreograph to. It was also difficult to dance to. You handled it quite well. Next, Chloe. You made the top five and you got second in your trio. I want number one. Next, Mackenzie. You got third. Good job. On top of the pyramid, I have Eva. You won with your solo and you redeemed yourself with that aerial. Your trio placed second and your duet was first. You got me my clean sweep."

"This week, we will be attending Intensity Dance Competition. This is the competition that determines who is dancing at Nationals," Abby says, "Mackenzie, you are doing a solo. It's called A Perfect Day in the Sun. Chloe, you're doing a solo called Ghost. Paige, you have a solo also. Kendall, you have a solo. It's called Kiss Kiss. Nia, you will be doing a solo that is 60s inspired. Brooke, you will be doing a solo called Fly. Eva, you will be doing a solo called True Colors," Abby says.

Maddie raises her hand.

"Do I have a solo?" Maddie asks and she starts to cry.

"Maddie, I'm not hurting your feelings. I have a bunch of other kids that wanna do solos," Abby says.

"She wants to do a solo very bad," Melissa says.

"I understand that, but you interrupted her and wanted her not to do it because you were afraid of losing all your friends," Abby says, "Maddie, toughen up."

I give Maddie a hug.

We do a warmup. All we have are the solos, so we have a lot of free time this week. Yay!

Solo Rehearsal

"Your solo this weekend it's called True Colors. It's a beautiful lyrical routine," Abby says.

Abby starts to teach me my routine and it's very pretty. I'm excited to compete this.

"Leap!" Abby yells.

"Mark through it once and then we'll do it full out," Abby says.

I mark through my number and then I do it full out.

"Bigger!" Abby yells, "Reach! Reach! Push yourself Eva!"

I start over and run through the entire thing pushing myself as much as I can.
