The girls and I walk into the studio without Abby having to call us in.

"Look who's here early!" Abby says, "Where are your mothers?"

"They're still talking," I say.

"Moms, come on, get in here!" Abby yells, "Congratulations, we said that eleven was heaven. Now, you all see that Kalani is here, Payton is back with us. I am very excited to introduce the new permanent replacements for Brooke and Paige, more importantly, Kelly. Kira, congratulations, you will be replacing Kelly. Kalani, you will be replacing Brooke and Paige."

We all clap for Kira and Kalani and I hug Kalani.

I'm super happy that Kalani is joining us, but she's not gonna replace Brooke and Paige. She can add a new dancer to the team, but she will not replace Brooke and Paige. They are irreplaceable and Kalani isn't them.

"Abby, Payton did what you asked her to do," Leslie says.

"She did, she was great!" Abby says.

"You're just trying to find a reason to throw us off the team," Leslie says.

"No," Abby says.

"You have Payton who's right here, who shows up at your studio four or five days a week, and you still are gonna bypass her?" Leslie asks.

"She can't-" Abby starts.

"She follows every rule!" Leslie says, "Don't ask me to congratulate Kira for being here, it's not gonna happen. I'm not playing your head games!"

"Alright, Leslie," Abby says, "Kalani can do it all. Payton can't."

"Let's get to the pyramid now," Abby says, "On the bottom, Kalani. You're new. It's up to you to work your way up the pyramid. Next, Kendall. You were only in the group dance. Nothing else to judge you on. Next, Nia. I thought you were an outstanding drag queen. But you're the one on this team who had previous experience as your mother so kindly pointed out."

"Next, Eva. You were going through the motions. You have to give me more. You did the group and it was great. But it's always great. I want spectacular, amazing, stunning. Not just great," Abby says.

I nod.

"Next, Chloe. You were chosen to do a solo. You did a contemporary routine in a gorgeous costume and you got beat by a nine year old doing a hand me down dance in a recycled costume. Moving on, Mackenzie. I saw Mackenzie on that stage. Not Maddie. I wanted to see Maddie. Next, Maddie. You had the highest scoring routine of the day and the entire competition."

"Next is Payton. You were the lead in our group routine. You were great," Abby says, "And on top of the pyramid, Kelly!"

Abby starts laughing. The moms and us girls burst out laughing.

"We are going back to World Class Talent this weekend," Abby says, "We're going to Canton, Ohio

"We are going back to World Class Talent this weekend," Abby says, "We're going to Canton, Ohio. We have a group routine. Right now, everybody is in it. It's entitled Frost. Each and every one of you took a costume from another competition that we did and you took them home with you. You are in trouble if you don't bring them tomorrow for rehearsal."
