We all walk into pyramid and Abby isn't there. Abby walks in five minutes after the rest of us. It's very tense.

"I just wanna look at what fourth place looks like," Abby says.

"This weekend, we will be traveling to New Jersey. We will be attending On Stage America. I don't wanna be fourth again. On the bottom, Kenzie. You will not be in the group routine this weekend. Next, Maddie. At nationals, you were amazing, just as good as Chloe, but Chloe won. Ever since then," Abby shrugs, "Next, Paige. It's the same pattern. It's like you don't think you have to work anymore. Next, Nia. You're doing fine. Is fine going to make you a star? Next, Kendall. You didn't pull my eyes in a negative way. You actually pulled them in a positive way. Next, Chloe. I thought you looked great, it was good. Was it amazing? No. Next, I have Eva. You looked great in the group routine and you beat Bella and Kaeli with your solo. Your mother told me it was the best she's ever seen you dance, but I want better than your best. I want more. On top of the pyramid, I have nobody. Nobody in a group that got fourth deserves that spot. Not even someone who got first in their solo," Abby looks at me as she says it and Mom rolls her eyes.

"Brooke, I don't have you up there," Abby says

"Brooke, I don't have you up there," Abby says.

"She's here every week, what's the purpose of her being here if you aren't gonna put her on the pyramid?" Kelly asks.

"Brooke, do you want to be here?" Abby asks. Brooke nods. "That to me is not a response that I'm looking for."

"This week our group routine is called Pink Lemonade. Brooke, I planned for you to be in the group routine. Kendall, you have a solo. It's entitled Owe You Nothing. Nia, you also have a solo. It's called A Hundred Years From Now. Is it gonna take you 100 more years to straighten those legs and point those feet? I have one more solo. Chloe, do you think you can do the dance I give you?"

Chloe nods.

"Your solo is a contemporary routine as well. It is called Left in the Dark. I have one more routine. A duet with Chloe and Eva," Abby says and Chloe and I jump and hug each other, "Your duet is entitled Space Between. It's a contemporary piece. The group routine is entitled Pink Lemonade. You're using hats and the hats are a prop. Drop your hat and you're off the team."

All of our eyes widen. That's a bit extreme, isn't it?

"The name of the song is Pink Lemonade, but it's about life. You get lemons, you make lemonade," Abby says, "Let's try it with the music.

We start to learn the group and it's very fun and pretty. I'm scared because we have to practice with the hats tomorrow though.

"Drag, ball change, hop," Abby says as we start the dance, "Hold your hat on. Arms, arms, arms."

"Listen up, Pink Lemonade better not be fourth or third or second," Abby says.

We start the dance and we have hats today. We are doing the dance and our hats keep falling off. Mine's fallen off once, Chloe twice, Brooke's twice, Kendall's twice. It's not going well.
