"Come on girls, let's go," Abby says, "Congratulations! You have had 13 victories in a row. Is that time for your teacher to celebrate or time for your teacher to get tough? Next week, the new team arrives. It's gonna be a tough week. Mackenzie is shooting her music video this week."

"Let's get to pyramid," Abby says, "On the bottom, Nia. You weren't in the group routine. Next, Kendall. You were second. You know how I feel about second. Next, Kalani. I'm still seeing technical issues. I want you to work your way up to the top of the pyramid. Next, Mackenzie. You had to work on all your music while you were learning that routine and you did it.

Abby continues, "Next, Chloe. You worked with Kalani. It was victorious. Next, Eva. You're going backwards. I thought your performance last week was okay. It wasn't your strongest performance. I want you to be ahead of the competition by ten points. Not three."

I nod.

"On top, Maddie. Once again, you proved yourself. I thought you were phenomenal in the group," Abby says.

"This weekend we are going to Masters of Dance Arts in New York. This week is going to be all about my mom. Maddie, you're doing a solo. It's called Come to the Cabaret, it's a musical theater piece. My mom loved cabaret. My next solo is going to Eva. It's called Dancing After Death. My final solo is going to Chloe. You're doing a solo about the 50s. It's called Friday Night. The group dance is Amazing Grace. Everybody is in it, except Mackenzie."

Kenzie's Video Shoot

We're at the Ziegler's house today for the Sleepover part of Kenzie's music video. We learn the choreography for it and then we go to the room we're filming it in.

"Let's remember the little things," Abby says, "Shoulders down, stretched feet. Sarah, watch that posture. It's atrocious."

"Girls, when you hear the one line, what I want you to do is go 'It's a girl party!'" Andrew, the director, says.

We get to the line of the song when it say that and we do it.

"What we need is a girl party!" We all scream and we dance.

We hear the junior elite moms, our moms, fighting with the other moms of kids who aren't on the team. They continue fighting and Christy with a y starts telling Abby that they need her more than we do.

"You know what? Get your shoes on and leave my house!" Melissa yells at Christy and I look at Kendall.

"Sarah, leave and you leave," Melissa yells, "I'm calling the cops."

Christy and Sarah leave. I feel bad for Sarah. I like her, but I don't like her mother.

We finish up the shoot and go home for the night.
____________
Solo Rehearsal

"You're the only one doing lyrical this week," Abby tells me, "The others aren't doing their main style. You're doing one of your main styles. That means there's extra pressure on you to win. You're doing what you know and they aren't, okay?"
