Chapter 41: Faint

"S-Shyvana?" I stuttered, "Hello Shaina, goodmorning" ngumiti siya sa'kin, her voice sounded beautiful, maganda na siya, maganda pa 'yung boses. Mukha siyang anghel.

"H-Hello din.. bakit ka nga pala nandito?" I asked after clearing my throat, "Bumili kasi akong pagkain, may meeting kasi si Nash dito sa inyo kaya binilhan ko na siya para pagkatapos, ibibigay ko na lang" sagot niya at ipinakita sa'kin ang plastic na hawak niya.

Meeting? Dito? Si Nash? "I-Ibig sabihin.. meeting niya mamayang.. 10?" tanong ko, agad siyang tumango, "Kasama ka 'dun diba?" ngiti niya sa'kin.

"Ha? Oo" sagot ko naman, "Sige, sabay na tayong pumunta" sabi niya, tumango na lang ako, nasa top floor ang gaganapan ng meeting, sa loob ng office ko, may isa pang hiwalay na room 'dun at 'dun ginaganap ang mga meetings.

Nang makarating kami sa top floor, 30, sinalubong agad ako ng secretary ko, "Goodmorning Shai, you're just in time, may 10 minutes ka pa kung kailangan mo pang mag-ready" sabi ni Ahria, siya ang secretary ko.

"Sige Ahri, salamat" ngiti ko naman sa kanya, "Nga pala, ikaw na muna bahala kay Shyvana, girlfriend ni Nash" sabi ko, "I'm his fiancee" sabi niya agad, natigilan ako.. fiancee niya? So.. iniba na pala talaga nila.. haha, shunga kasi, ano ba naman in-expect ko..

I saw how Ahri looked at me with concern, "Sige, pasok na 'ko sa meeting room, ikaw na bahala sa kanya" I said as I walked past Ahri and tapped her shoulder, she mutely nodded.

I struggled to keep the tears from falling, pakiramdam ko mahahalata ng lahat na naiiyak ako.. but I have to be strong.. I came so far.. I masked my emotions for so long, ano pa ba ang araw na 'to diba? I lived 4 years like this, and I must continue, I musn't let these feelings show..

Pumasok ako sa meeting room, at lahat ng stockholders ay naroroon, hindi ko lang talaga alam kung bakit ngayon ay nandito si Nash..

Everybody stood up to bow to me, I bowed back, "Goodmorning, let's start" sabi ko as I took my seat.

Isa itong regular na meeting about sa stocks ng kompanya, kung magkano ang naging income, kung may nalugi ba or what. It's a very boring meeting but I have to live with it.

After 1 hour, natapos nang mag-present ang representative ng isa sa aking mga stockholders, the sales are going well, operations are in well function at wala namang problema. Isa lang talaga ang problema ko eh, anong ginagawa ni Nash dito..

I stole a glance at him, and I was surprised to see him looking back at me, I turned away and put my attention back to the group of people seated in front of me.

"Miss Shaina" one of the stockholders raised their hand, "Yes?" I asked, "I would like to formally transfer all of my shares to Mr. Nash Marquez" he said, and I was petrified.

That would mean.. seeing him in every meeting.. no.. why are they breaking my wall down now when I built it up so high?

"I-I.. see.." I mumbled, I could feel my head getting dizzy, "Miss Shaina? Are you okay?" the stockholder beside me asked, I softly nodded.

"Alright, do you have the papers?" I asked, trying to focus, but my eyes were getting blurry, "Yes, it has been signed by me and Mr. Marquez" sagot nito, lumapit siya sa'kin at inabot sa'kin ang isang papeles.

I didn't bother to look at it, because my head felt like it was being cracked open, "Okay, confirmed" sabi ko, I staggered to stand, "This meeting is finished, thank you.. for your.. ti—"

"Shaina!" Nash yelled.. and everything turned black.

Why is she staring at nothing? Nakita ko kung paanong mamutla siya matapos marinig na magiging isang stockholder na ako sa kompanya niya.. she was terrified of me.
