"Anyone see him?!" Ashlyn asked, her tone was frantic. Moments earlier Tyler tumbled out of the jeep and took a nosedive off a cliff. He ended up lost in the endless terrain of trees, the group had been searching for him for at least 10 minutes now. "Tyler!" Logan yelled out, it was unlikely he would get a response but he was determined to try.

Taylor was worried sick about her twin brother, it was difficult for her to see around her with tears clouding her vision. Ashlyn walked over to her and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, "we'll find him." she whispered in the best assuring voice she could muster. A small smile formed on the taller girl's face, she nodded.

They would find him.

No matter what.

"Is this close to the area he could've possibly landed?" Aiden questioned, looking around. It was hard to tell if the area was familiar, especially because their only view was from inside a jeep. Range of sight was limited. "It could be.. let's look around." Ashlyn suggested, the five of them split up and began searching the area.

"What if we don't get to him in time?" Taylor choked out, looking at Ashlyn who walked beside her. It was clear to the redhead girl that a million different thoughts were racing through Taylor's mind and freaking her out. "We will, I promise we will." Ashlyn assured, taking a hold of Taylor's hand and squeezing gently as a way of providing extra reassurance.

Ashlyn was going to do everything in her power to make sure they found Tyler.

That was a promise she fully intended to keep.

After around five more minutes of walking, they weren't having any luck. Despite that, they weren't willing to give up. Not when Tyler could be out there somewhere, they needed to find him.

He wasn't being left behind on their watch.

"Tyler!" Ashlyn called out, she had to be careful with how loud she was shouting. Even though the number of phantoms thinned out it was still possible for them to be lurking around, and sound attracts them. "Ty!" Taylor shouted, her voice was hoarse from crying so much.

Taylor was slowly losing hope, but it wasn't her fault. She couldn't lose her brother, and paranoia was a bitch. She was overthinking this entire situation against her will, thoughts raced endlessly and taunted her already growing anxiety. She tried her best to push those thoughts aside and think positive, but it was challenging.

"Tyler!" The girl was snapped out of her thoughts by Ashlyn shouting. Taylor visibly flinched, which caught Ashlyn's attention. "Tay? What's wrong?" the shorter girl inquired, Taylor waved a hand dismissively. "Nothing, I'm okay." she was lying,

Taylor was nowhere near okay.

Ashlyn didn't buy a word she said, but didn't pry any further. Pressuring Taylor into answering questions while she was already overwhelmed was the last thing Ashlyn wanted to do. "I know you're lying, but I won't force you to tell me anything." the girl said, turning her attention to the trees and hoping to find Tyler.

Another 10 minutes of walking, both girls hoped that the others were having better luck than they were. They were about to turn around and regroup until a loud pain-filled scream could be heard in the distance, Ashlyn covered her ears and both of their blood ran cold.
