I thought this ship name sounded good for them😭

Ace = Term for the star pitcher on a baseball team, Tyler's sport

Rift = Guitar related, also related to Ben's love for music/singing

Someone requested this and I finally got the motivation to write it

• Grumpy and calm dynamic

• Tyler learned how to play more songs on guitar and later on taught Ben how to play them.

• Ben can easily pick Tyler up despite Tyler being only a few inches shorter than Ben. This was proven by Ben literally picking Tyler up and carrying him away from a verbal fight with Barron.

• Ben has a separate sketch book filled with sketches of Tyler.

• For his birthday, Ben surprised Tyler with a piercing kit and Tyler was very happy about it.

• The day that Ben fell for Tyler was the day that he saw Tyler smile for the first time.

• Tyler developed a habit of stealing Ben's hoodies whenever he visited, and of course Ben's hoodies were oversized on him.

• Tyler was the first person Ben spoke verbal words to since his incident.

• Ben is always there to calm Tyler down when the boy has a bad day and needs comfort. Tyler often thinks of Ben as his safe place.

• Ben taught Tyler how to draw, and Tyler is slowly getting better at it.

• They often listen to music together, Ben once caught Tyler singing along with one of the songs and he was excited about it. Tyler still doesn't know though.

• They have matching bracelets in each other's favorite color with their names on them.

• Ben often goes to Taylor for help when he wants to buy Tyler something because Taylor knows what her brother likes.

• Ben's love language is physical touch, gift giving, and quality time.

• Tyler's love language is quality time, words of affirmation, and gift giving.

• Ben sometimes has bad days due to memories of his past, and Tyler is always there to comfort him.

• They often go on late night walks through the park together, just enjoying the silence and each other's presence.

• Ben is one of the only people who Tyler allows to hug him, he's got boyfriend privileges for sure.

• Ben likes to take advantage of their height difference and randomly sneak up on Tyler from behind, he then proceeds to hug the smaller boy and doesn't let go. Tyler just accepts his fate.

• Tyler likes to draw on Ben's hands when he's bored and Ben just watches him do it.

• Ben shows up to all of Tyler's baseball games, Tyler is always looking for him in the crowd and secretly gets happy once he finds Ben.

• Tyler picked up a matching clothing habit after growing up with his sister, so he often asks Ben to match with him.

• Ben likes to randomly kiss Tyler on the head and smiles at Tyler's reaction every time.

• I guarantee they're the type of couple who would grow old together with two cats.

• Even though he denies it, Tyler has a habit of fidgeting with things when he's anxious. Ben immediately picked up on this habit and started carrying around fidgets just in case.

• Tyler will absolutely pet the stray cats on the street, just like his sister, it's a rule at this point.

• After Tyler "died" in the phantom realm, Ben never left his side, and he was always looking out for him.

• Believe it or not, both Tyler and Ben and the group therapists.

• Ben often has to physically restrain Tyler from kicking Aiden's ass.

• Tyler is a huge Chase Atlantic fan.

• Tall bf x Short bf dynamic.

• Tyler is the type to send pictures or videos of animal duos and be like 'us' and Ben replies with 'yes :)<3'.

• Tyler often needs reassurance from Ben, because he feels like he isn't worth anyone's love.

• Ben taught Tyler how to cook because he knows that if he were to let Tyler do it on his own, the kitchen would burn down.

• Ben loves the fact that Tyler and Lily get along so well.

• Ben's parents love Tyler and treat him like a son.

• They have matching electric guitar necklaces.

• Aside from Taylor, Ben is the only other person who showed Tyler what real love felt like, and Tyler will cherish this fact forever.

• When they cuddle, Tyler is always the small spoon and he loves it, but he won't admit that out loud of course.

• Tyler feels safe enough to let his guard down and actually act like a teenager around Ben, because he knows that Ben would never judge him.

• Ben always patches Tyler up if he gets hurt during baseball games, he's always scolding Tyler about being more careful.

• Tyler often gets nightmares about his death in the phantom dimension and wakes up terrified, he immediately goes to Ben for comfort.

• Their friends and parents are the only ones who know that they're together.

• Ben was obsessed with Greek Mythology as a kid, and still is to this day.

• Tyler leaves sweet little notes on Ben's desk at school every morning. He doesn't know that Ben kept every single one.

• Ben is one of the only people that Tyler would willingly be affectionate around.

• I kid you not, Ben once fist fought a phantom because it hurt Tyler, this was before the tree incident.

• Tyler is permanently banned from the kitchen after almost burning it down.

• Ben has a horrible sleep schedule and Tyler is always forcing him to take a nap when Ben looks like he's seconds away from falling asleep.

• Ben uses Tyler's head as an arm rest just to annoy him, Tyler always shoves his arm away.

• They have matching spiderman plushies, courtesy of Tyler. Ben's plushie is black with a red web pattern, and Tyler's is the classic red with a black web pattern

• Tyler is obsessed with spiderman

• Both of them would literally kill for each other, because that's how much they care. Tyler literally football tackled a phantom off of Ben once because the creature scratched Ben's cheek.

• Tyler often writes little poems about Ben and keeps them in a box under his bed

• The rest of the group defends them when they receive rude comments about their relationship
