Goodbye, nation of justice.

After that fateful day in Fontaine, the people started to fix the city back to normal, things changed since Furina no longer took care of Fontaine and decided to be an ordinary citizen.

"Well, who should we say goodbye first?" Paimon pulls out a list from her tiny pocket which I didn't know she had one all along. "Let's see." She opened the paper and the paper scattered on the ground.

"Paimon, I don't think we need those." I helped her gather the paper. "Let's take a walk and say goodbye to the
first person we know, as for Furina I want her to be last." Paimon agreed. Not long after, we saw Charlotte taking a picture of the people fixing a building. "Charlotte!" Paimon flew towards her.

"Y/n and Paimon! How can I help you?" Out of nowhere, Paimon gets emotional, "Charlotte! Charlotte! Huwaaaaa!" She cried and hugged her. "Eh?" She looked at me, "We come to say goodbye." She nodded, "leaving to Natlan?" I nodded, "then let's take a picture before you leave." She turned the camera towards us and we took a picture of all three of us.

"I'll miss you, take care y/n and Paimon." She continued her job while I and Paimon went to Lyney's house not far from there. "I hope they're here." Paimon knocked on the door, we heard footsteps. "Who is it?" The door opened revealing Lyney. "Lyney! Where's Lynette and Freminet?" Speak of the devil both of them suddenly appear behind Lyney.

"What's wrong?" They look concerned. "We come to say goodbye." They stood there in silence didn't know what to say. "I'm gonna miss you y/n and Paimon, visit us anytime you want, you're welcome here." Both Lynette and Freminet nod approving of what Lyney said. "Thank you y/n and Paimon."

From Lyney's house, we went to the Fortress of Meropide. What a coincidence, I saw Clorinde and Wriothesley together reading some paper in his office. "Oh? Y/n and Paimon, what brings you here?" He put down his paper and Clorinde turned to look at us. "We're leaving tomorrow for Natlan, we come to say goodbye." They nodded, "Thank you Y/n and Paimon, feel free to visit anytime, don't be afraid to ask for my help, it's the least I can do to return the favor for what you did to all of us."

"Thank you Wrio and Clorinde." They hummed in response. From the fortress, both of us went to Poisson and there we saw Navia helping out others fixing their houses. "Navia!" She turned around after hearing Paimon's voice, "Partner! What brings you here?"

"We come to say goodbye." She gasped, "Are you dying!?" She cupped my face. "No, no. We're leaving for Natlan tomorrow." She let go of her hand and sighed with a heavy heart, "I barely know you and now you're leaving. Take care partner, don't forget about me and everyone here, I'm gonna miss you so so much." She hugged me and Paimon. "Well if you need anything just ask, I'll help." She gave us a thumbs-up, "Okay! See you later Navia!" Both of us went back to the city.

"Okay, Neuvillette. I hope he's in his office." We stood in front of his office, I knocked on the door a few times and walked inside, I saw him standing behind his desk with his back facing us. "Leaving so soon?" He turned around. "You know I can't stay." He nodded, "I know."

He grabbed two glasses, one filled with water and the other filled with wine. "Come, have a drink with me." I walked to his desk with Paimon flying next to me. He offered candies to Paimon. "Parting gift." Paimon's eyes glittered, "Thank you!" She put them in her pocket.

"I know this day will come, I just didn't know it'll be this soon. I'm not a man who is good with words but all I can say is, take care Y/n I hope you find what you've been looking for. Thank you for everything you did for me and the others, I'll never forget your kindness." He stares at his drink.

"You taught me many things Y/n, I can't thank you enough, you can come back anytime you want, I'll be here, and if you need help I'll be there." I smiled and nodded, we finished our drink and I went outside. "One last stop. Furina."

I took a deep breath before I knocked on her door. I heard footsteps along with her voice telling me to wait. She opened her door and was surprised. "Oh? Y/n and Paimon!" She was excited, "what brings you here?" I sighed, "I'm leaving Furina." Her excitement turned sad in a second. "So soon? Why? I haven't said thank you for what you did to me all this time, and I'm sorry for treating you badly when we first met. I haven't learned to be a proper citizen, not after what I did to them, everyone hates me." I looked at her with tears begging to escape.

"You'll be fine Furina, your future will be fine." She shook her head, "You don't get it, I'm scared." She started to cry, "I'm scared, what if they don't accept me? You're the only friend I have." I cried and so did Paimon." You don't have to be scared Furina, you'll be fine without me. Just start step by step." I hugged her, "You don't need to pretend anymore, just be who you are and live your life, you can do it."

The prophecy has been fulfilled, from today to tomorrow and forever let them live in peace, goodbye Fontaine nation of justice.
