Throughout the journey west, Reina read the letters with rapt attention. Even though the content was repetitive, she didn't want to miss a single word.

It wasn't until the carriage reached the western border that she finally set the letters aside.

"Huh? Already? Why are we here so soon?"

"I think it's because you surrounded the horses with flames."

Despite their warm clothing, the horses—native to the West—were not accustomed to the cold.

Shortly after they departed, Reina had quietly conjured flames to keep the horses warm.

"I was quite surprised to see them on fire."

Noel chuckled. Initially, she thought they might have the wrong horses and nearly started an argument.

But when she saw how relaxed the horses were, she realized Reina had taken care of them.

Since Reina had been so absorbed in her letters, Noel could only guess at her actions.

"It's cold in the North. I should have warned you; the horses in the manor are enchanted."

Reina checked the temperature outside. It was a bit chilly but comfortable for the western region. Deciding she no longer needed the flames, she extinguished the fire.

"It's all right. Actually, I appreciate your concern. The flames helped us reach the West quickly."

At this point, Noel was starting to wonder about Reina's limits.

Initially, she thought Reina was merely destructive, using her flames to clear debris and melt rocks.

But now, Reina had even enchanted the horses with a warming spell that lasted for days.

Noel had never seen anyone wield magic so freely and in such diverse ways.

As a duke, she had met many powerful individuals, but most were proficient in only one type of magic.

Reina, however, seemed to manifest whatever she imagined into black flames.

Curious, the Duke decided to ask.

"Can you also create cold flames?"

"Cold flames? I don't know. I've never made one."

A cold flame—what a peculiar concept. It was like a warm iced Americano, or perhaps iced hot chocolate?

It seemed unlikely, but Reina, intrigued, decided to try making a cold flame.

"Ah, cold!"

She pulled her hand away, startled by the ice-cold flame that appeared in her palm.

It looked like any other flame, but Noel rushed to touch it.

"...!"

The flame was as cold as ice. It was astonishing to see and feel.

Reina seemed even more remarkable than Noel had imagined. If only she had this ability back in the West, it would have made things much more comfortable for everyone.

While the Duke was lost in thought, Reina continued to create and manipulate cold flames, making her hands freeze.

"I didn't realize I was reading your letters, but it's a bit stuffy in here. I'll cool it down a bit."

With that, Reina tossed one of the cold flames to Aden, who had been stuck in the corner the entire time. Aden, feeling a bit overheated himself, had removed his hood and was wearing only a shirt.
