I sit in my bed, sketching what I remember from my hospital vision. My mind keeps floating back to what happened earlier. Poor Katie Bell, she didn't deserve it.
The door suddenly creaks open and Theo steps through, closing the door behind him. I look up and close my journal, setting it on my nightstand with a smile as Theo sits next to me on my bed.
"How was the rest of the trip?" He asks, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
"It was alright, but you are not going to believe what happened," I announce as Theo pulls me into his lap, obviously wanting to braid my hair or fidget. I knew Theo would love to hear this. After all, he loved when I told him all of the drama.
"Oh?" He asks, amused.
"Katie Bell got possessed. When I say possessed, I mean possessed, possessed. She shot six feet off the ground and was being thrown around like a rag doll. It was freaky." I explain, leaning onto him.
"You're joking?"
"Nope," I reply, popping the p.
"That's...crazy." He responds, not too surprised sounding.
"You don't sound so shocked. I thought you'd at least be somewhat interested. It's not every day people get possessed." I laugh awkwardly.
"I am it's just...I don't know." He mumbles.
My smile disappears as a thought pops into my brain, flashbacks to what Harry was insinuating. A dreadful feeling starts to bubble up inside me.
"You don't- you guys don't have anything to do with this, right?" I ask, my bottom lip quivering slightly.
I knew they had to have. They left right before Katie Bell did and quite rapidly. They didn't really have reason to either, not to mention the looks they were giving each other. It was all so suspicious.
It's like every wall I had built around my friends, blocking every rumour had come crumbling down. The signs I chose to avoid, were what I didn't want to believe.
"No-" He spits out, shocked, "We didn't I-" He rambles, caught off guard.
I push myself off the bed and stand up.
"You did! I know you all did!" I exclaim manically, pacing around the room as I pull at my hair.
"V, listen-" He starts, walking closer to me.
"No! I should've known- I should've-" I ramble, breath quickening as Theo grabs my shoulder, eyes wide.
He looked...scared, hurt? His expression filled me with sorrow the longer I looked at him.
"Vinny, I need you to listen to me." He urges, pulling me closer by my shoulders, "I had nothing, nothing to do with this." He explains, trembling slightly.
