Chapter 29: Rule School

The archives were pitch black, and from the outside, one could only see Tang Rufen standing at the door,

as if there were no one inside.

Tang Rufen suddenly remembered that Mu Sheng had not turned on the lights after entering the room before him.

The explanation he had given was that the lights were broken.

But now, upon closer reflection, the sound of the switch being pressed was quite strange:

it was different from the sounds of switches being turned on in other classrooms.

This was clearly not right.

Mu Sheng hadn't actually pressed the switch.

He had only prepared similar props in advance, pretending to try to turn on the lights.

Regardless of whether the lights in the archives were broken or not, they would not turn on in the end.

In the dim light,

as long as the dolls outside didn't immediately notice that someone was inside, Mu Sheng's chances of successfully escaping would increase significantly.

Truly... cunning.

It was as if they were using him as a target.

Having understood this,

even though he was facing a monster-like BOSS in the dungeon, Tang Rufen couldn't help but curl his lips.

Jian Li was leisurely adjusting his gloves and smoothing the creases of his clothing, looking less like he was about to confront a player and more like he was preparing for a banquet.

Noticing the intruder's unusual demeanor, Jian Li smiled and suddenly glanced at the silent archives:

"Still daydreaming? It seems there's someone inside you wish to see one last time."

Tang Rufen cracked his knuckles. Though his handsome face was rather inconspicuous under Jian Li's almost perfect exterior, no one dared to underestimate him.

In this tense atmosphere, Tang Rufen actually tilted his head and thought for a moment.

"Ah, yes, a very important person. I should make him my wife when I get back."

Many players nearby heard this strange exchange and couldn't help but come over to check the situation.

They saw Tang Rufen confronting the student council president,

as well as his nonsensical words.

The players couldn't help but wonder if this... player who had been playing dumb was actually strong, but if his mind was really all there, talking about such things in this situation.

Or was the person inside some kind of celestial being?

Jian Li's movements in adjusting his sleeves paused for a moment, the polite smile at the corner of his lips turning cold:

"What a pity, that sentence will forever remain an ideal."

Implying that he wanted Tang Rufen to die here.

Tang Rufen retorted, "Rotting wood, I can smell the stench of your impending decay from a distance. Spare me the ominous remarks."

His eyes faintly revealed a suppressed crimson color, reminiscent of the red gem before, and with a cold smirk, he suddenly launched an attack.
