Chapter 71: Dreamy Vacation Villa (Continued)

Seeing the person at the door, Qi Zhanpeng involuntarily loosened his grip, but by then, Zhuang Nian Nian was already exhausted, able only to weakly cover her throat as she collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath.

At first, the man was startled to find someone entering, but when he realized it was the gentle and frail young master of the Yu family, he breathed a sigh of relief, his tense nerves finally easing.

The room was very dark; the lights were off, and an ordinary person wouldn't be able to see anything clearly from a meter away without getting closer. Qi Zhanpeng was sure that Yu Mu Sheng hadn't seen the situation inside or knew what had happened, but he still tentatively spoke up, "Young Master Yu? If I'm not mistaken, your residence should be on the other side. What brings you here?"

Zhuang Nian Nian recovered a little and trembled at the mention of Yu Mu Sheng's name. She struggled to straighten her body and mustered some strength, wanting to warn him to stay away from Qi Zhanpeng. She had already lost hope and didn't believe she could escape; now, she only thought about not dragging innocent people into this mess.

Qi Zhanpeng noticed her intentions and subtly curled his lips in a cold smile, maintaining an appearance of respect and confusion while ruthlessly kicking Zhuang Nian Nian.

She found she couldn't say anything.

Strange sounds inevitably arose in the room. Qi Zhanpeng felt a moment of tension in his heart, but seeing Yu Mu Sheng's gentle expression, he gradually calmed down again, as if the young man were oblivious to the situation.

The youth seemed to have not heard the odd noise; his clear eyes quietly gazed at the standing man, as if he hadn't noticed the frail shadow at his feet.

He answered Qi Zhanpeng's earlier question, "I saw that the door here was not closed, and the lights in the room have not been turned on, so I came to check."

Qi Zhanpeng was taken aback. The door wasn't closed? Which servant had forgotten to close it when they left? He hadn't gone to the door and didn't know if it truly hadn't been closed.

But Yu Mu Sheng had no reason to deceive him.

Qi Zhanpeng looked at the youth's clean and pure appearance, a twisted light flashing in his murky eyes. He hated this kind of expression the most; these privileged children had everything handed to them and didn't understand how difficult it was for people like him to struggle and climb out, stepping on countless others along the way.

Yu Mu Sheng and Zhuang Nian Nian were both like this. What right did they have to be so clean?

The youth asked again, "Is there a problem with the circuits inside?"

As he spoke, he took a step forward, not knowing if it was out of habit, but he casually closed the door behind him.

Qi Zhanpeng watched the door shut tight and the room descend into darkness once more, forcing himself to suppress the wild joy bubbling up inside. He feigned respect, saying, "There is indeed a small problem inside. Could you please come over? This involves the safety of the entire vacation villa, and I think it's necessary for you to know."

His reasoning sounded dignified, with no hint of any issues, but beneath his feet, Zhuang Nian Nian was twisting in despair, hoping the youth would notice something was wrong and leave.

While Qi Zhanpeng inexplicably used his newfound ability to silence Zhuang Nian Nian, he kicked her again.

This kick nearly knocked her unconscious.
