Chapter 63: Dream Resort Villa
After spotting the second young master of the Yu family nearby, the servants immediately fell silent, no longer discussing any leisurely matters. The highest-ranking among them mustered the courage to greet Mu Sheng.
"Good morning, sir. Is there something you would like to instruct us?"
Mu Sheng casually replied, "I felt a bit cold while sleeping last night. My room needs a thicker quilt."
The man skillfully hid his surprise and nodded in response, "Yes, you should go down for breakfast. We'll arrange it right away."
He hesitated for a moment, ultimately unable to hold back: "The temperature hasn't been too low these past few days. You've been using this quilt for a while. Suddenly feeling cold—could it be that you're unwell? Would you like me to call a doctor for you?"
Mu Sheng looked at the obedient servant, his pale face stiffening for a moment, lost in thought. Indeed, he had been increasingly sensitive to the cold these days, but the temperature in the instance hadn't really changed.
The servant who spoke up felt a twinge of regret for overstepping; discussing the master's affairs was always a taboo, especially after his subordinate had just been caught gossiping.
He cautiously glanced up; the young man's profile was serene, showing no signs of anger, as if reminded of something.
After taking another look at the second young master of the Yu family, the servant quickly dismissed his regret.
If his words could be of any help, a little punishment would be worth it, especially since Young Master Mu Sheng had a gentle temperament and treated his servants kindly.
As expected, Mu Sheng didn't reprimand them in the end. After discussing the timing for the quilt change, he turned to leave, only to run into a figure rushing towards him.
It was a young girl, her face devoid of color, her eyes dark and fixated ahead. She crashed through the crowd, bumping into people without stopping, a frown of discontent on her forehead.
Despite her youthful appearance and normal attire, she somehow reminded people of a ghost suddenly crawling out from a corner in a horror film.
A servant carrying a laundry basket frowned, initially planning to scold her. However, upon seeing the girl's pale and gloomy face, an inexplicable shiver ran down their spine, and they refrained from raising their voice, muttering a few impolite words instead.
The girl's target was Chen Lehe, who was hiding among the crowd. Even though Chen Lehe was tucked away in a corner, she spotted him instantly and quickly ran over, calling out, "Brother!"
Her eyes were solely focused on him, even brushing past Mu Sheng without a glance.
Everyone else around, having seen the girl before and aware of her identity, displayed expressions of annoyance and even disgust, clearly not liking her at all.
The young manager glared at the girl as she rushed over, nearly colliding with Mu Sheng. Veins popped on his forehead in anger: "Chen Lehe, how many times have I told you? It's already a miracle that your sister can stay here. If she causes any trouble, she'll be kicked out of the resort immediately!"
The young manager was careful about his volume. If it weren't for Mu Sheng being able to see Chen Lehe's angle, they likely wouldn't have heard their conversation at all.
Chen Lehe quickly and skilfully apologized, "Li Ge, I'm really sorry. My sister recently went through a breakup and has been a bit odd lately; she just likes staying close to me."
