Chapter 33: The Rules of the Campus (End)

Wang Qiang had also been drawn to the commotion at the archives, witnessing the chaos unfolding there. However, his selfish nature kept him from staying in such a dangerous environment filled with the reckless members of the Freedom Club and the terrifying puppets. He wasn't one of those hot-headed players who would believe in some elusive "god."

To him, Zhao Mu Sheng was just someone who had benefited from their identity; without that, he wouldn't have gathered any information. Wang Qiang felt he could do even better in his place. While others, like Xiang Shuidong, believed that Zhao Mu Sheng would willingly sacrifice himself, Wang Qiang did not share that belief.

He had been fixated on Zhao Mu Sheng as he took away the crucial information related to the clue task, wishing he could have been the one to obtain the item instead. To his surprise, he was fortunate enough to find Zhao Mu Sheng right here.

Wang Qiang's eyes were bloodshot, filled with greed and excitement as he warned, "Zhao Mu Sheng, you don't have any good brothers around you now. Hand over the information about the clue task!"

The petite Mu Sheng was not taken seriously by Wang Qiang. The boy beside him, who looked equally weak and had a calm, frail aura, was clearly just an ordinary NPC. Wang Qiang felt as if the dungeon itself was aiding him, allowing him to spot Zhao Mu Sheng and snatch the critical information he needed for the clue task, ultimately leading to his success.

The muscular and menacing player approached Mu Sheng step by step, his excited and twisted face as if he had already completed the task and was ready to reap unknown rewards. He envisioned himself trampling over all the players in the dungeon: Shen Fengyu, Tang Rufen, Zhao Mu Sheng, Xiang Shuidong, and so on.

Yu Qizhi stood firmly in front of Mu Sheng, glaring at the strange transfer student approaching them. "Violence is prohibited at school."

Wang Qiang was lost in his fantasies, his rationality burning away as he even forgot his once-prized intuition. He didn't recognize the transformed vengeful spirit boss and laughed arrogantly, "You really don't know your place."

Wang Qiang's greedy gaze returned to Mu Sheng, who was partially exposed. "I've always been curious about what you have..."

Before he could finish, his vulgar words vanished from Mu Sheng's ears. Mu Sheng's eyelashes trembled; he could see Wang Qiang's mouth still moving, indicating that the reckless player hadn't stopped speaking. However, Yu Qizhi didn't want Mu Sheng's ears to be tainted.

He instinctively used his ability, perhaps not fully realizing it. Or maybe he did realize but was trying hard to avoid acknowledging it.

Mu Sheng looked at Yu Qizhi's gradually stiffening back and slowly exhaled. He then opened his arms and stepped forward.

Yu Qizhi froze for a moment as the boy pressed himself against him, now embracing him. Yu Qizhi didn't dare to move. Mu Sheng felt like a tender blade of grass, bending toward him in a sudden gust of wind, almost slipping away if he wasn't careful.

Mu Sheng's temperature was normal—warm and soft. When he leaned against Yu Qizhi, the sudden chill made him shiver. His soft profile pressed against Yu Qizhi's back, and each breath seemed to release a faint mist.

As expected, Yu Qizhi's body temperature was as cold as his hands—bone-chilling. This was a pure embrace, a distinction between the warmth of the living and the coldness of the vengeful spirit. Just like the unchangeable temperature, Mu Sheng couldn't alter the fact before him.

No matter what he said, Mu Sheng's voice did not sound cruel or cold, just as his appearance was naturally tender-hearted. He softly spoke, "I'm sorry, but Yu Qizhi, you're already dead."
