Chapter 58: Dream Vacation Villa

The figure before them had striking white hair and wore a mask adorned with strange patterns, instantly setting him apart from ordinary players. Even though Pan Mao was seeing Sheng for the first time, he recognized him immediately as the renowned top player "Sheng" that Fu Yanghui had often mentioned.

But what was he doing near the Yu family villa, especially at the moment they were investigating it? This was a crucial path for them.

Fu Yanghui stepped forward, excitement flooding his features. "Are you here because you know we're investigating the Yu family? Did you come to join us, or do you have other information to share?"

Sheng's demeanor suggested he wasn't there by mere coincidence; he seemed to be waiting for them at that specific spot.

Ignoring the curious and skeptical gazes of the other players, Sheng spoke with a calm, indifferent tone. "The people from the Yu family are not to be trifled with. I advise against entering the villa in such circumstances."

Fu Yanghui smiled bitterly: "We know that too, but in this situation, we lack essential information. Even if it's a dragon's den or a tiger's lair, we have to go in."

"And you know Chen Le, right? He's the player who was with us that night. He actually works as a servant for the Yu family. Although he doesn't have much say and his combat ability is average, he's provided us with a lot of information."

"For example, the terrain of the Yu family's estate, escape routes, and the schedules of those special NPCs inside. At this time, most of them won't be active, so we should be able to get in and out quickly without major issues."

Sheng glanced silently at the players: "What's your purpose in going in?"

Pan Mao interjected: "Earlier at the shrine, Yu Mu Sheng mentioned Yu Father. The expressions of those special NPCs were very subtle; we think Yu Father must be a key point."

"We have information that Yu Father has been to this resort before, and he left behind some visual materials. Once we find those, they should provide us with clues."

When it came to key information, Pan Mao spoke more vaguely. He took over the conversation because he sensed Fu Yanghui's "abnormality" and worried that if his mind wasn't clear, he might disclose everything.

This was the first time Pan Mao had met Sheng. While he was somewhat intimidated by his aura, he remained cautious. What if this Sheng was just a facade, or if he coveted their information and planned to take the crucial details and betray them?

Fu Yanghui, in distress, noticed the hostility in Pan Mao's eyes. The white-haired youth in front of him, who had particularly sharp and perceptive senses, could certainly notice it as well.

Sheng clearly saw Pan Mao's hostility, but he didn't care and continued to look at Fu Yanghui: "Are you still willing to go in, even if it might lead to death?"

Behind the youth was the Yu family's villa, half-hidden in the shadows. His silver hair swayed slightly in the night breeze, seeming like the only light source in the darkness.

A moth drawn to the flame, or a guiding starlight.

Sheng's tone remained cold and calm, without a hint of intimidation, yet it made the players listening feel their hair stand on end and break out in a cold sweat.

After a period of silence, a player chuckled awkwardly, trying to ease the tension: "We'll withdraw as soon as we see things are going wrong; it shouldn't... come to that, right?"

But even Pan Mao didn't respond to this.

Sheng was clearly not talking nonsense.

Fu Yanghui smiled bitterly: "Some of the people went to the Shen family villa to gather information. Their defenses aren't strong, and the danger is relatively low, so those people are enough."
