It's been a few days since New Year's Eve and classes have officially started which means I'm back on limited time I see Kira. It's been hard I won't lie.

I got used to falling asleep with her and having her next to me so it's been hard the last few nights. But wearing her hoodie and spraying some of her perfume on one of my pillows helps me sleep a little better at least.

I see her in class almost every day and I fight the urge to just run to her and have her hold her for a little while because I miss her so much. But I don't.

I settle for whatever time I get with her in our TA sessions. Most of the time it's just her holding me while I lay in my spot on her neck for a bit while she works, other times I'm completing the work I need to for the day.

I also call her a lot more than I need to. When Ava goes off to call Nadia, I call Kira. We spend hours on the phone together and it's good but it doesn't compare to actually being with her.

Today has been a long day. Kira's busy for most of today which means no TA sessions and I won't get to call her until way later. But to pass the time, Ella asked us if we could all hand out.

Ava and I agreed and said we wouldn't mind if they all came over. Ella and Livia jumped at the idea so for the next few hours we're all having a get-together in our apartment.

"Is it bad I'm hoping the night goes by quickly?" I asked Ava.

"Nope because I am too." She sighed. "I just want to call Nadia." She said.

"So you and Nadia hug?" I smiled at her.

"Yeah, it's nothing much right now because it's been literal days but she's so pretty, and kind. She's funny too. The amount of time I spent laughing with her over New Year's wasn't normal." Ava blushed while she spoke.

"I know, she's a great person, Avs," I smiled.

"I know, I just wish we had more time together that's all." She shrugged.

"Why don't you?"

"Well she's busy for the next few weeks because she became an elective chair for something or something like that—I don't know," she said, "so she has to fly out to New York in a few days for a couple weeks. I wish we could do something beforehand because our time over New Year's Eve was very limited and I kind of want to get to know her more."

"So do it! Plan a date for the both of you." I said.

"Really?" She asked and I nodded. "I would but I have no idea where to begin. I haven't planned a date in four years and I would  even have the slightest clue what I'm doing." She said.

"Okay, well we start somewhere that's a middle ground, maybe like a learning experience of some sort—there's a pottery place in San Jose that you guys could go to. It's interactive and all pretty much partner work so you wouldn't have to worry about the not talking part because you're always communicating about the next things while making something out of clay." I suggested.

Ava thought for a moment. "That might actually work, and it wouldn't be anything stressful." She smiled.

"Yeah, it's something simple. And when she comes back, you'll be able to go pick them all up together."

"You're incredibly smart B," she hugged me. "What's the name of the place? I'm gonna see if we can go at least two days before she leaves." She smiled brightly.

"There you go!" I smiled.

"Thank you for this."

"Always, you helped me actually get my girl so I'll help you get yours," I said just as our door opened and a few people walked in.
