I don't know what I expected to see when we got to the Reynolds family house but it definitely wasn't what was in front of me.

It was in a serene area, the kind of place you usually come to for holiday, there was black gates at the entrance with guards that opened up for you.

A massive driveway that was covered in trees that canopied over the top and various flowers that grew out of the bottom as you drove only ending when the front of the house began to show.

The front of the house looked so luxurious. More than anything I'd ever seen back home. There were three garages and a car parked outside each one.

The house was covered in a cream coloured coat of paint and a stone archway that led to the front door. It was a beautiful house.

We got out of the car and simply stood at the car. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous all over again.

"Come bella," Kira smiled and held onto my hand.

"Our bags?" I asked her.

"Someone will come grab them later for us," she said and I was surprised.

Kira simply just smiled at me and held my hand as we walked to the door. Sofia went ahead of us. I was shitting bricks on the simple twenty-step walk to the door.

"Okay Ki, I lied I'm nervous." I stopped walking. "Sofia seemed so chill but she's your younger sister which means I still have to meet the rest of your family. And I'm nervous about that."

She smiled gently at me and wrapped her hands around me and kissed my soft spot—that seemed to quickly loosen up my nerves.

"You don't have to be nervous bambina," she said softly. "I know it's nerve wracking but you're here with me." She kissed me. "If you want me to, I'll hold your hand the entire time." He suggested and I nodded.

Her words brought me comfort, like always, they brought me a sense of comfort I didn't know I needed. She kissed the back of my hand and we walked further in together.

Almost instantly a young boy ran up to Kira wrapped his arms around her. "Zia," his little voice giggled.

"Ciao Alejo," Kira smiled widely and hugged him. "How are you?"

"Good," he giggled. He wriggled his finger asking Kira to go closer to him. She bent down a little and he whispered something in her eye and she smiled even more.

"Okay, Alejo this is my girlfriend Birdie," Kira said with a smile. "Alejo thinks you've got a pretty smile." She said and he giggled.

"My papa says that a pretty smile and nice words go a long way." Alejo spoke up as he held Kira's hand.

Before I had a chance to respond a louder voice called Kira's name. "Kira, tesoro, are you home?" A man called and Alejo ran off.

After a minute, he walked our way, he had salt and pepper hair and eyes exactly like Kira's, his cheekbones were also just as high.

He was wearing a simple pair of jeans and a blue long sleeved top that clung to him.

"Ciao papa," Kira said.

His eyes lit up and a smile spread across his lips as he hugged her. Still her hand never left mine.

And after a moment, he hugged me. "I'm so happy you're home Ki," he smiled. "And you must be Birdie, I'm Stefano, we're happy to have you here too," he said warmly.

Kira squeezed my hand a little and spoke to her dad a little in Italian. None of much which I understood.

I took the few seconds to house and how it looked. It was gorgeous, just from the entrance alone. Most of the things on the wall at the entrance were water colour paintings and a few pictures of Alejo.
