"Right, I've given you all three days to do this, I handed it to you on Monday, and today is Thursday, hand them forwarded. These are worth a grade so if they aren't up to standard that is your own fault." I spoke to all my students firmly.

My eyes brushed over the room watching as they all passed their sheets down each one of them seemed more nervous than the next. To be honest, a sense of pride filled me when I noticed how much of an intimidating persona I carried around them.

It's never my intention to scare them off but it does help when it comes to them understanding how serious I can be about their grades. I am only hard on them in the beginning so that when I ease up later on they know how serious I can be.

My eyes scanned the room one last time to see everyone and my eyes landed on a particular curly-haired brunette who had a sour expression on her face the minute she seemed to catch my eye.

I simply smirked at her and simply shook her head and looked away.

I focused back on the rest of the class giving them instructions alongside giving them the lecture at hand.

They worked well and most of them were attentive, I say most because for some reason Aberdeen seemed more interested in eyeing me.

I enjoyed the attention once in a while but not when it came at the cost of her work, my work, or the work of others.

When I caught her eyes I finally narrowed my gaze at her in a stern manner which seemed to get her to begin writing something down, not sure what but she wrote stuff down while also taking notes on her laptop.

After the full two hours, the lecture ended and I had the juniors as my last lecture for the day, which is a good thing because my day ends at two but that also means I have two hours with Aberdeen.

Ever since our kiss in the file room I've been telling her to leave only a mere twenty minutes after she arrives.

All of our time together on Tuesday she tried to talk about our moment but I rejected her every attempt to bring up the situation.

We didn't have to talk about it because there was simply nothing to talk about. It was meaningless and a mistake.

I walked to my office and left the door open for Aberdeen who came in shortly after me closing the door behind her.

She still wore her sore expression. "What do you need me to do today?" She questioned. "Or are you more comfortable not talking about it?" She added sarcastically.

I didn't pay attention to her comment and just directed her to a stack of papers that needed organizing. "Those need organizing, freshmen to seniors," I said sternly and she nodded grabbing them to talk her usual seat in front of me.

I didn't speak to her for the next fifteen minutes and was about to send her home when a knock appeared on my door. "Come in," I said sternly.

A scraggly-looking boy walked in. I'd seen him around but never paid any attention to him because he wasn't in any of my classes after all. He was dressed simply in a pair of jeans and a simple blue top. He has curly brown hair that sat unevenly on his head.

He didn't have much with him just a simple brown paper bag and his phone.

"Can I help you?" I asked sternly.

"I didn't mean to come unannounced or anything but I wanted to bring Birdie some cookies—I know she's been having a hard day and I wanted to bring her some to lift her mood a little." He explained himself in full detail.

Details which I didn't need.

I motioned a hand for him to walk further in. Aberdeen didn't react much only a simple smile was plastered on her face.
