The whole drive I felt like everything was just so overwhelming. I know I didn't drink anything with her but knowing what she'd done wasn't making the feeling any better.

I was running circles in my head. What if Megan never said anything? What if I didn't know about Lucy's history and I did drink it? Would she have taken me somewhere I don't know?

It all felt so uneasy in my stomach.

For a moment in the car Kira held me. Then we drove home and I told her everything top to bottom. There was no option for hiding anymore. She had to know.

The whole time she reassured me I'd done something good by leaving and not drinking it. It didn't matter how aggravated or upset Lucy got, I was right not to drink it.

I was upset but it was clear she was angry. She was pissed beyond words. I could see it on her face and in her tone.

"Are you mad?" I asked her softly as I sat crossed legged on her couch with Loki's head in my lap.

"At you bambina? Never," she kissed my forehead. "But at Lucy? I can't believe she's still doing this. And her family would cover it up, they're that kind of family." She said angrily.

"Cover it up?"

"When I told her parents what she'd done the first time, hoping to just enlighten them as to what kind of kid they raised, her dad told me to 'grow up and handle it because Lucy was just fighting for what she wanted.' and her mom told me I should be happy it was me and not someone else, because then Lucy would be cheating." She said.

"What? How can they say that? Their kid committed a crime and they told you to...handle it?" I asked.

She nodded. "They're that type of family, protect each other by hook or by crook. And trust me they're crooks." She said. "I never told them again but Lucy received her fair share of beating from Sasha and her brother."

"She's such an asshole for a person. I don't know how she gets away with it." I sighed into my hands.

"When you have the money, you can get away with anything." Kira said.

I sighed and placed my head on her shoulder as she held me close. Loki's head still in my lap. "You did the right thing bambina, I couldn't live with myself if she did the same thing to you as she did to me." She said.

"It's not your fault though," I said softly hoping to reassure her she couldn't have known what this night was going to be like.

"But I told you to go, that in itself is my fault." She said and sighed.

I placed my hand to thigh and kissed her cheek. In this moment, I think she needed more comfort than I did.

So we swapped. She laid her head on my shoulder and I held her close. She was reluctant at first but when she knew I wasn't giving up, she gave in.

Loki moved a little and I pulled Kira into my lap so she was sitting over my lap with her head in my shoulder. Loki remained close and next to us the entire time, Juno made his way next to us too.

Kira was quiet as I held her close, running my hands up and down her back. The room was quiet with only the light tv voices creating sound.

The moment felt so whole between us, so pure in a way. No words exchanged just pure emotion and in this moment, I felt loved, like the only thing that was passing between us was love.

It made my heart beat faster and my cheeks heat up.

God the way I love this girl.

I kissed her cheek and noticed she had a few tears on her cheek. "What's wrong pretty?" I asked her softly.
