Birdie's POV

Friday finally! I'm spending the entire weekend away with Kira—or at least that's our plan. I've been a little skeptical about it all because just earlier this week, Ella went to the dean about Kira and me.

I thought she dropped it but clearly, I was wrong. I knew I should've known better but also she shouldn't have been in my room.

I haven't said anything to her yet though. I've not actually come up with anything to say. I'm worried if I talk to her, I'll say the wrong thing and slip up about me and Kira.

I can that that.

But I've been taking Kira's advice and trying to distance myself from Ella, surprisingly even Ava is. She said over the last year or so, she's become a different person. She's obsessed with the idea of her sister being with someone and it's draining.

Ava noticed it and took a step back from her.

And it's for that exact reason why Ava and I are choosing to stay at from the group hangout they're all having today in Livia and Ella's apartment.

It's also a good time for me to catch up on a few things since I'm not here this weekend—I hope. Ava and I have our one class at the same time, only at two in the afternoon so we have time to kill.

We've been sitting at our table catching up on work or studying together, and so far it's going well. "Are you sure you're going away tonight?" Ava asked.

"If everything works out after my last lecture then yeah," I smiled. "Why?"

"I was thinking of going to visit Nadia for the weekend." She blushed.

"I thought Nadia was away," I said to her.

She shook her head. "Her trip got delayed by a week." She said with a soft smile and I nodded.

"I'll be away and you'll be, I think that works out." I smiled at her.

"I hope it does." She smiled.

After a moment a knock appeared at our door and I got up to answer it. It was Ella. "Hey, I thought you guys were going up." She said from the door.

I hadn't opened it all the way since I felt like her coming in would just cause more harm than good.

"Yeah sorry we forgot to say we weren't coming up because we've got a ton of work to get through," I said with a smile.

"Come on, both of you," she walked in, right past me. "you can get all the work done you want this weekend, it's Friday and we don't have another class for like three hours." She said.

"Yeah, but we've got so much Ella," Ava chimed in.

"You both can't even spare an hour?" She raised an eyebrow and she shook out head. She sighed. "Okay, maybe we'll all do something this weekend then." She said and walked back to our door.

I stood there ready to close it. "Oh Biridie! I forgot I actually have a something to tell you." She said softly.

"Yeah?" I asked her with a soft smile.

"I'm sorry about earlier this week, the whole accusation thing." She said softly sometimes only us two who could hear.

"It's okay, it just wasn't exactly the best thing to be accused of," I said.

"I know, I'm sorry." She sighed. "But I have something to make up for it." She said with a smile and I lifted an eyebrow at her.

"What?"
