This whole week I've been patiently waiting for Friday to arrive. All week I couldn't contain the blush on my cheeks when Reynolds would look at me during class or in her office when I was supposed to be doing other things.

I think that night was one of the best nights I've spent here. I'd gone upstairs and completely bypassed Ella's room to talk to the only person I could talk to about this.

Ava.

I felt bad, Ella is my roommate but I haven't really connected with her as much as I have with Ava.

So for the next three hours, Ava and I talked about everything and nothing. I gave her feedback on how it went with Reynolds and she told me how she feels so much better that we had a day out today, and that she's taking a step back from Felix and letting it all resolve itself if it ever will.

Ava and I just sort of clicked on a level I never really thought I'd connect with anyone—like I had with Letty.

It felt like Ava and I had been friends for a long time but we'd only met a few weeks ago.

Today is only Thursday and it's almost come to an end but the day has been going extremely slowly. I feel like I've been typing out this paper for the last fifteen hours when it's only been the first fifteen minutes of our two-hour lecture with Reynolds.

She looks really good today. She's wearing a navy blue suit and a corset-like top. Her hair is clipped back in a black claw clip with only a few pieces that are left out framing her face that had fallen out during the day.

Despite how I'd seen her softer side, or at least I hope it's her softer side, how she's calm and doesn't seem to always carry around and cold persona. She keeps up that front and doesn't let it falter for a second during the day.

At least until we're in her office and talking sat on the same side of her desk talking and sharing softer kisses in between.

Which I really wanted right now.

She caught my eyes for the second time in the last fifteen minutes and I couldn't hold back my blush again. I just looked away from her and focused back on my laptop to get this paper done.

I was focused and almost three-quarters of the way there until I got a text that showed up on the screen of my laptop.

I've never turned down my brightness so fast and pulled out my phone. The message was from Reynolds.

Reynolds
Finish the paper and stop looking around.

I bit my lower lip and looked up at her slightly. She didn't even seem the slightest bit bothered by me. She stayed at her desk typing away at her laptop like she was lost in her work.

Me
I was halfway through until your text distracted me

Without missing a beat she texted back.

Reynolds
Finish the paper and promise I'll make the effort worth it once the class is over.

I'd never put my phone on do not disturb and away so fast. I don't know what she was going to do but I knew she'd definitely make it worth it.
