Our weekend away was almost a week ago and things have been good. On Monday when I saw Ava again i told her everything and I've never seen someone so angry before.
After her, I told Letty because I felt like I needed to talk to talk someone who could relate to our situation and they turned out to be the best decision I'd made.
First off both Letty, and Valentina surprisingly, were angry on our behalf for the things that Lucy had said.
But Val also said we should prepare for the worst now because there was no telling what Lucy could do now that she'd somehow figured out that Kira and I were together.
Letty and I stayed on the phone for along while after that. She just talked and told me all the ups and downs are all worth it all in the end.
I trusted her word because she's my best friend but also because she's been there and gone through it all.
Anyways, that was a week ago, and now things seem to be smoothing over.
Once again this morning, Ava and I are having breakfast in Ivan's apartment like every other week, except this time we're meeting Andre—who is not officially his boyfriend.
Ivan's been pacing around his kitchen trying to make sure everything perfect for when Andre gets here.
No matter how much Ava and I tell have told him it's fine and it'll all go well, he doesn't seem to be listening to us.
"Calm down Ivan, it's all gonna be good," Ava said.
"I know I just need the first time he meets you guys to be good," Ivan said.
"I feel like you should be more worried about him meeting your parents," I shrugged.
"They'll be fine, I'm just worried about you too—it says a lot that I fear my boyfriend meeting my best friends over my family." He pointed out.
Ava and I just shook our head and laughed a little because it did say a lot—even if we didn't want to acknowledge it.
We helped him set everything else up and moments later, a knock was at his door. Ava answered the door and on the other side stood Ivan's boyfriend.
He has dark skin and equally as dark eyes, but despite how dark they were they were warm and inviting. He flashed us a smile and that's showed off his dimples and perfectly pearly white smile.
He was dressed pretty casually with a white top that slightly outlined his arms with a checkered shirt over the top and a pair of jeans that sat on him just right.
"I brought croissants, I didn't want to come over empty handed." He said softly as he looked between the three of us.
Mainly between Ava and I.
"Thank you," Ava said and let him in before closing the door behind him.
"Hi babe," Andre said to Ivan and grabbed Ivan's had.
"This is Ava and Birdie," Ivan introduced us.
"Nice to meet you all but I think I've seen you around campus before." He said pointing at Ava.
Ava just hummed and nodded her head as she sat down. "The design block, I think," she said and he agreed with a smile.
We all sat down and started eating. Ava and I got to know Andre more. All the things he likes, dislikes and even a few date stories that he and Ivan had.
One's Ivan never told us about.
At the end of it all, Ava and I really liked Andre and it was clear he liked Ivan just as much.
