This was the first time Jennie had driven to work, but she did not think the distance between the car dashboard and the throttle pedal had been fully adjusted according to her figure. The new car was so adept at driving to work, even though she was a bit late in the beginning but in the end, she arrived at the company according to the time.

It seemed that after this, she could sleep for another half an hour in the morning.

As soon as she arrived at the company, she noticed that her colleagues were busy completing their work. Jennie glanced at Rosé's seat. She did not come today. Looks like she's still in the hospital.

Jennie sighed heavily. She placed her handbag on her desk and saw a few files on it. She was startled for a moment and turned to look at the busy Ashlee. "What is this? What is going on?"

"Editor-in-Chief, I don't know what's going on with the Jung Group. They have been pressuring our Business Reporting Department for the past few days, and we are currently busy with the paperwork. It is said that Jung Group wants to sign a contract with our company and use our services to manage the crisis that is happening to Jung Group. The editor-in-chief has been considering this matter for the past few days, and since President Kwon has not been in the company for the last two days, no one dares to make a decision." Ashlee said with an ugly expression.

PR Crisis?

This was not asking them to be their PR officials, but they were clearly threatening them, forcing them to publish positive news about the Jung Group in the future. If any negative news spreads, it will be blamed on their department. This was clearly a show of force.

It seems like yesterday's accident was indeed related to them!

She should find an opportunity to meet that department manager, Wei!

At ten in the morning, Jennie was getting ready to go to the Public Prosecutor's Office. Although Lisa said they should not act rashly, but since their department was directly involved, she should at least use her identity as chief editor of the Reporting Department to investigate the situation.

Before she left, he heard a colleague say that President Kwon was there.

Before she could even get in, she was blocked by GD at the elevator entrance. The corner of her mouth twitched violently as she looked silently at the tall figure in front of her.

"Where are you going?" GD asked while his hands crossed over his chest.

Jennie rolled her eyes. "Why do I see you everywhere? Are you the god of plague?"

GD's eyes were full of smiles as he took the documents from her hands. After casually flipping through them, he raised her eyebrows and asked, "Are you going to investigate about the Jung Group?"

"Yes." Jennie nodded. From his attitude, it seemed that he already knew something.

"One of your department's colleagues, the one who has a good relationship with you, did she get into a car accident yesterday?" GD glanced at her casually.

"How do you know?"

"How can I not know if something happens to one of my employees??Even if I did not know, the news of the accident already appeared on TV, so how could I not know about it!" GD sneered as he continued to flip through the documents, "The new head manager of the Jung Group, Wei, was an unknown nobody in G City seven years ago. He gradually rose in the business world in the past few years, and he seems to have a huge backer behind him."

As he spoke, he shook his head.

Suddenly, GD turned his head and looked at Jennie, who was deep in thought, "I have seen some intimate pictures of Wei. Jennie, do you think he looks familiar?"

Jennie, who was deep in thought, was stunned for a moment. With some doubts in her mind, she stared at GD's face, which slowly turned cold. Suddenly, a feeling of fear spread in her heart.

She hesitated for a moment and said, "He does look familiar." As she spoke, her mind floated back to her memories, but she was still unable to find the answer. However, when she saw GD's cold expression, she couldn't help but frown. "You know him, right? Who is he?"

GD looked at the expression on her face, and the coldness in his eyes eased up a bit. He pushed the document back into her arms, causing her arms to sink, and when she glared at him, he only gave her a dazzling smile that seemed to deserve a beating. "Who cares about who he is? You just need to focus on your work, don't worry about this. Leave this matter alone."

Leave it alone?

How could she not care? Not only was Rosé harmed, but Wei was also involved in her work. If she didn't complete her work, how could she feel at ease? What GD said was pretty easy, but the one who will face the consequence was her!

GD was about to enter the elevator when he suddenly received a phone call. Jennie took the opportunity to press the close button of the elevator and watched GD, who was standing outside the elevator, glaring at her while he answered the phone.

She pouted her lips in a very arrogant manner, then watched as the elevator doors gradually closed.

When Jennie arrived at Jung Group's parking lot, a black Mercedes-Benz parked at the same time nearer to her. Kai got out of the car. His body was covered in dust and his face looked haggard too. He hadn't seen Krystal recently, so even if he found such a good stepping stone, it was not easy for him to be Jung's Family son-in-law.

Jennie didn't think too much and got out of the car. Just as she was about to walk to the company's entrance, Kai suddenly saw her and looked at her.

Jennie politely nodded at him before she expressionlessly walked to the entrance.

"Jennie." Kai strode over. "You're here for an interview?"

Jennie didn't bother to look back as she walked in through the rotating glass door. She looked up at the blueprints of the Jung Group on the wall and checked every floor once. Knowing that Kai was not far behind her, she turned her head and glanced at him, "Director Kai, may I ask where is the new department manager's office?"

Kai pointed to the security elevator on the other side, "Second floor, the first office on the left. You'll see it as soon as you get out of the elevator."

"Thank you." Jennie lifted the bag on her shoulder and left.

When Jennie reached the second floor, she glanced at the first office on the left. The door opened a little and she saw some men were talking about something in the cubicle, but she ignored it.

Jennie stood outside the office for a moment, looking at the words "Manager Wei" written on the door.

Some neatly dressed men came out of the office. One of them was the person she once interviewed. When that person saw her, he smiled at her. "Miss Kim?"

Jennie had a polite smile on her face as she nodded. In a moment, she knocked on the door and entered the room.

Wei was the only one sitting in the office. The moment she entered and saw the plump body, she didn't even need to look at his face to know that it must be him.
