Jennie walked over to the wall and looked at the small writing under the pictures.

Jia was born in 1966 in M City and was raised in a military environment. Her father was accused of being involved in a corruption case and was punished by the law, resulting in the Family's downfall. Jia went to the United States to continue her studies and took a drawing program. She had excellent results, but unfortunately, she suffered from intermittent psychosis in 198x.

Jia and her mother were almost the same age. So they met when they were studying painting in the United States?

Jennie raised her eyes and looked at the blurry color photo. Two young girls in red and one of them combed the girl's hair. The girl was her mother.

The two sisters stood together like twin sisters, from their attire to their makeup to their hair to their stature. If one looked closely, they could see that the two were really close.

This photo must have been taken when they were young. They had the same appearance and temperament, and they had evoked a sense of intimacy with each other.

Jennie carefully looked at Jia's face. She felt like she had seen her somewhere before, but she could not remember it. Seeing these photos, her mind became confused. There were a lot of things running around in her head, but she couldn't grasp a single complete thought.

"Actually, after so many years, all the new doctors here had tried their best to cure her. However, she did not let anyone near her, so everyone gradually gave up. Jia is now about fifty years old. Even if she was docile and willing to accept treatment, it might take a few years to ten years for her to recover. Therefore, the people here are too lazy to try again. They just need to follow Manoban Family's order and take good care of her, never letting her run away."

"She hasn't left for all these years?" Jennie asked softly.

"Left? I'm not sure. I don't think she left. She has been here all these years I've been working here." After that, the nurse whispered into Jennie's ear, as if she was afraid others would hear. "Let me tell you something. Rather than leaving her here to recuperate, I think it's more like to lock her up here."

Jennie frowned, but she didn't show much emotion. She just looked at the nurse silently and smiled faintly. "Thank you for telling me so much."

Seeing her serious expression, the nurse immediately blushed and whispered, "Women gossip. The doctors and nurses in our nursing home are used to these things and everyone knows it. No matter what Jia is doing or why she is locked up here, no one knows. So, I can't tell you more about this."

Jennie pursed her lips and didn't say anything.

If V knew that his own mother was living such a life here ... If he knew that his mother was imprisoned like this for more than 20 years.

Not to mention V, even if it were her, she would feel pain and hate.

Why can a good woman go crazy? It seemed that this incident happened in the same year. Jia going crazy, her mother committed suicide. What has really happened?

Jennie looked back over the events of that year, one of which had been the embezzlement of military equipment that Lisa had told her about. At that time, Jia's father was in charge of that department. Could it be that there was some huge conspiracy behind it?

It was late at night when Jennie returned to her room. She held the necklace in her hand, considering the connection between these things. Suddenly, she heard a voice coming from outside, so she opened the door and walked out.

She saw Marco, whose clothes were a little wet, with red spots on his forehead, walking with a very dark expression. Lisa, who followed behind, calmly explained something to the doctors and nurses.

Jennie quickly asked, "Dad? What's going on?"

"Madwoman!" Marco seemed a little furious. After swearing, he immediately took off his wet coat and walked to the room arranged for him.

Lisa stopped by Jennie's side and turned around to speak to the doctors and nurses. After they had left, he turned around and glanced at her. "It's already 10, why aren't you asleep yet?"

"What happened to dad?" Jennie asked in a low voice.

Lisa took her hand and gently pushed her inside, "Let's talk inside."

After they both entered the room, Jennie pushed his hand away. She was about to ask something when she saw a frown on his forehead, as if he was holding back the pain.

She was stunned for a moment. Lisa's frown only lasted for a moment, but his expression was caught by her. Jennie immediately pulled up the sleeve of his shirt, ignoring his protests. His arm was bruised, as if it had been injured by something.

There was blood on the skin, but it was dried up. Jennie looked at his shirt and just noticed that Lisa was wearing another shirt. He had changed his shirt before he came back. It was obvious that he did not want to worry her.

"Come and sit down. I'll go get some iodine." She pulled him to the couch and forced him to sit down.

"I was only slightly injured, no need to apply for medicine." Lisa stopped her and said, "I'm fine, I just hit the corner of a wooden chair."

"How?" Jennie was stunned. Marco was soaking wet, and his forehead looked like it had been smashed by something. Seeing Lisa sigh, she immediately understood. "You guys went to see Jia?"

Lisa smiled and nodded silently.

Jennie frowned, "How come you can't even stop a fifty-year-old woman? No matter how crazy she is, as long as she doesn't have a knife or something sharp in her hand, you can't get hurt."

Lisa pulled her to his side and said softly, "Stop worrying. When I'm accompanying dad, Jia is standing on the balcony. If we force our way in, she might fall off on the spur of the moment, and since she lives on the fifth floor, she'll die if she falls. Dad tried to get close, but Jia suddenly threw a bowl, and it hit him on the forehead."

"Then how did you get injured?" Jennie's heart ached as she caressed his arm and pursed her lips. Looking at the bruise on his arm, she felt as if a needle had pricked her heart.

"Dad didn't believe that she didn't recognize him and wanted to get closer. Jia immediately hugged her chair and threw it towards him. I was afraid dad would get hurt, so I stretched out my hand to block it."

Jennie no longer spoke and just pushed his hand away, not letting him hold her hand. She got up and opened the door, asked the man outside to bring some iodine and medicine, then walked back and sat down next to him, carefully pulled his sleeves over his arm. She looked around and found that it was indeed just a small wound from the impact, but because a sharp corner of the chair hit him, his skin had been broken.

"Did she react badly when she saw dad?" Jennie asked as she got up to take a clean wet towel and wipe the wound on his arm.

Lisa did not mind the injury, but since Jennie insisted on treating him, he did not stop her. He nodded seriously and sighed, "This is far more serious than we expected."

Jennie paused. At this moment, there was a knock on the door. She got up once again, opened the door, and took iodine and medicine. After thanking the man, she returned to Lisa's side.

"I will use iodine to disinfect first. This will hurt, so bear with it" Jennie opened the iodine lid and sterilized the wound carefully afterward. Although this was a sanatorium, and there's a lot of nurses outside that could treat his wound better than her, Jennie knew that Lisa wouldn't find someone to bandage such a small wound.

She could only use her knowledge when she worked at the clinic to treat him.

"Did she really forget dad? If she is, then why was there such a violent reaction? Throw a chair? Isn't that a little too much?" Jennie looked up at Lisa as she spoke.
