Hey, spoiled girl."

As soon as Jennie walked to the door, she first cautiously looked outside. Then she slowly walked out and looked around, there's no one out there.

At this moment, a cat suddenly ran out from the bushes. As it ran, the nimble kitten suddenly jumped over, frightening Jennie. She quickly walked to the front and looked at the bushes.

Was she overthinking it?

Why did she feel like something was wrong here?

As Jennie was thinking, she suddenly heard a cracking sound and a loud bang behind her. She abruptly turned around and noticed that the roof of the ancestral hall had collapsed and the wall also began to look like it was about to break.

"Grandfather!" Jennie's face turned pale with fear. Quickly, she ran towards the ancestral room.

"Grandfather!"

Why did the roof suddenly come off? Why did cracks appear on solid walls? When the wind was blowing hard now, there were no signs of an earthquake.

Jennie's voice filled with fear and her body was trembling. She quickened her pace and rushed to the ancestral hall. The ancestral hall was about to collapse! "Grandpa, get out quickly!"

Old Man didn't seem to notice the roof was collapsed. He only heard a loud noise and quietly walked outside. When he heard Jennie's voice, he was stunned for a moment and then pointed his cane to her with a serious expression. "You go first! Don't come in!"

"Grandfather!"

"Don't come in!" Old Man scolded her when he saw Jennie wanting to try to save him. He angrily stuck his cane to the ground. "Spoiled girl, leave quickly! Don't worry about me!"

"Grandfather, your legs are not strong, let me help you out!" Jennie's gaze was clear and firm as she gripped the Old Man's arm tightly. "Let's go, grandpa!"

Seeing that she had already entered, the Old Man had no choice but to shake his head and say, "This ancestral hall has not been repaired in a long time. I saw some cracks in the roof last week, but it hasn't collapsed yet."

The Old Man hesitated for a moment before he hurriedly followed Jennie out.

Cracks began appearing on the eaves of the house. One of the beams suddenly fell and the Old Man immediately pulled Jennie back one step.

"Be careful!"

Jennie hesitated as she looked ahead. The door was already full of dust, and she couldn't see anything clearly because of the strong wind outside. Still, she felt something was wrong, but running away and going to a safe place was the most important thing right now.

Suddenly, a beam at the side broke at the same time and the two of them heard the cracking sound. The heavy dust made them unable to see the surrounding situation clearly. When the beam fell, Jennie cried out, but by the time they could see clearly, it was already too late. Seeing that the beam was about to hit the Old Man, she screamed, "Grandfather!"

Jennie pushed the Old Man forward with all her might, and then she felt a great pain in her forehead. Blood began to flow down her head and covered her eyes. Then she heard Old Man's heartbroken voice, crying out her name. "Jennie!"

Jennie tried to prevent herself from fainting, but her mind was in a mess, and her eyes were once again covered in blood. She gritted her teeth and tried to lift her head. Jennie saw the Old Man still not leaving the ancestral hall, so she hurriedly moved forward.

However, just as she took a step forward, her feet were caught by the rafters on the ground, causing her to fall uncontrollably to the ground.

"Spoiled girl!"

"Jennie!"

In that split-second, a figure rushed into the hall and grabbed Jennie's body as she was about to fall to the ground. Jennie sighed with relief and used her last strength to cover her stomach with both of her hands.

Fortunately, nothing happened to her child.

"Jennie! Jennie!" The person holding her shouted her name. "Jennie! How are you?"

Jennie felt like her body was being carried out, so she forced herself to open her eyes. In the chaos, she saw V's blurry face. "Grandfather. Please save grandpa first."

V was stunned for a moment. However, Jennie firmly grabbed his collar and stared at him with her blood-stained eyes. "I will not ask why you are here... I just want you to save ... Grandpa ... If something happened to him ... I ... Cough! You ... Hurry up and save him!"

V's face immediately turned pale as he looked at her in surprise." Jennie."

"Hurry up and save grandpa!" Jennie couldn't hold on any longer. She had no strength left at all. Her head hurt badly.

"Jennie! AHH! What's going on?" Behind Chitthip, there were also Marco and Nanny Cheng, who rushed over at the same time.

Jennie's forehead was bleeding profusely, half of her face was red with blood, and she was hugged by V tightly. Her strength was almost gone, but her eyes were still staring at him, and her hand was holding his collar tightly.

V's expression darkened. He quickly turned around and rushed to the collapsed ancestral hall after handing her over to Chitthip.

"Jennie!" Chitthip tried to support her, but Jennie's body felt weak and she almost fell. "Where is the Old Man? Jennie ... How are you? Why did the ancestral hall suddenly collapse?!"

Marco walked over to support her and asked in a serious tone, "What has happened?!"

V rushed to the ancestral hall and helped the Old Man out. Old Man was unharmed and didn't suffer any injuries. The only thing that almost hit him was blocked by Jennie.

He was choking hard from the dust of the rubble. When he came out and saw Jennie's head covered in blood, he anxiously asked. "How is spoiled girl? Spoiled girl!"

V released Old Man and walked towards her with a quick step.

Seeing the Old Man fine, Jennie sighed in relief and closed her eyes. If not for Chitthip and Marco, who supported her, she would probably fall to the ground now.

"Dad, how are you?" Marco immediately asked when he saw the Old Man coming out safely.

The Old Man waved his hand. "I'm fine, I'm not going to die. Spoiled girl has saved my life. Quickly call Dr. Li and tell him to check on her condition now!"

"Jennie." With a pained heart, Chitthip gently wiped the blood from her face. "Come, mom will help you go back!"

However, Jennie said in a low voice before she completely lost her consciousness, "Don't... Tell Lisa ..."

"What?"

"I was only slightly injured ... Don't tell Lisa... Don't tell him." After saying this, she felt a split headache and unable to hold it any longer.

Her sight began to darken and she slowly fell into the darkness.
