Old Man looked at V and said, "Oh right, I heard that you're the same as Jennie. V, you also specialize in business?"
V glanced at the Old Man with a calm gaze but didn't say any words. Jennie secretly pinched him under the table and scolded him in a low voice, "You're already here. Mind your attitude."
After being pinched by her, V said lightly, "Yes, Business Department."
"Since you're studying business, that's good then. If you're willing to stay in H City, then ask Lisa to arrange a proper job for you." The Old Man looked at Lisa as he spoke.
Lisa smiled. "Of course he can, but first he has to go through the normal procedures."
"Yes, yes. Although your surname is Manoban, there are still some necessary processes you need to get through first." The Old Man nodded. He then looked around happily. "It's rare for us to be able to sit together on such a joyous day. Tonight, we're just going to talk about happy things."
The sound of firecrackers lit by the servants could be heard from outside, and the faint sound of fireworks could be heard from the distant downtown. This was the first time Old Man became very happy. Everyone drank a lot of wine with him. Jennie and Somi were drinking juice to accompany the Old Man to have a good time.
As Jennie was standing on the balcony, she could see fireworks in the sky away from downtown H City.
Jennie looked at the sky full of fireworks. She suddenly realized that she had finally found a home that she had been looking for all this time, and both her body and heart had found theirs.
The place she was standing at was her home, and the word home was very important to her. Perhaps only she, herself, knew how important it was.
Lisa's presence in her life was like the most brilliant ray of sunlight. It also had become a new starting point in her life.
It was already one o'clock in the morning, but Old Man insisted on pulling Lisa to talk outside. No one knew what they were talking about.
Jennie stood on the balcony and took a deep sniff. Suddenly, she felt someone's presence from behind, and the curtains of the window on the balcony slightly fluttered.
Jennie was immediately startled. That person only laughed lightly, pushed the curtain away, and came close to her. "Since when did you become a scaredy-cat? Why are you not sleeping?"
Jennie didn't look back as she mumbled, "I was thinking about my mother. V and I used to put an extra pair of bowls and chopsticks on the small table every New Year's Eve, but this year, we didn't. I was thinking, if she saw her daughter like this now, would she be very happy?"
Lisa smiled and said half-jokingly, "Her daughter has become so outstanding and strong after the passing of so many years. Of course she will be happy. Jennie, you are worthy of her pride."
Jennie leaned against the railing on the balcony. Her hands under her chin as she gazed into the distance. She then covered her eyes with her hands as if she was looking towards the G City through her fingers. "Guess what's on the table tonight at Kim Family's New Year's Eve meal?"
She suddenly stopped and paused. There was something playing in her mind. Then she said, "We are not in the north. You guys rarely eat dumplings, right?"
At this moment, a fragrance came from behind her. Jennie took a deep breath and confirmed that it was not a fragrance from the flower shed. Then, she suddenly turned her head and she was immediately embarrassed.
A handsome and extraordinary President Manoban was holding a plate of dumplings.
Jennie's eyelids twitched. No wonder Lisa hadn't gone back to their room for so long.
