The emergency room door was unlocked. Jennie slowly pushed it and looked around the room. There were many instruments arranged there, except for the clean white bed across the window. Lisa laid there silently, and the sound of the door opening did not wake him up.

Her heart seemed to grip as she walked slowly closer to him and saw his pale face. Lisa's usually calm and composed face looked a little tired.

As Jennie approached him, she realized that his breathing was much lighter than usual.

Lisa was in so much pain, but he could still say that Jennie was making a big fuss over nothing. Luckily, she had called an ambulance to take him to the hospital, otherwise, with her simple medical knowledge that she had only learned while she worked part-time in small clinics, she was afraid she would only make his condition worse.

Jennie bent down and looked at the IV drip on his hand. She was afraid that she would wake Lisa, so she sat quietly beside him. She looked at his beautiful face while he slept.

Jennie laid her arms on the edge of the bed and stared unblinkingly at him.

Until the person who did not open his eyes suddenly said, "If you keep looking at me like that, it's not certain that I won't do anything to you. Let me remind you, we are in the hospital."

Jennie was shocked. She immediately broke into a smile and said, "Lis, did I wake you up?"

Lisa's pair of deep eyes slowly opened, and he turned his head slightly. When he saw the guilty smile on Jennie's face, he could not help but sigh. "Did I scare you?"

Jennie wanted to nod, but after thinking for a moment, she frowned and said, "I don't think your stomach ache will be serious. It seems I need to pay more attention in the future. I certainly can not let you touch spicy food."

Lisa pursed his lips slightly and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "It's no use. Normally, any kind of diet is unavoidable when I have work to do. It's just that I can avoid it when I'm with my family. It's just a coincidence that I would suddenly have a relapse today."

Regardless of whether Lisa tried to calm her down or not, Jennie could not laugh. "How many years has your stomach been hurt?"

Lisa sighed softly. He didn't want to answer her question, but with her eyes staring straight at him, he couldn't do anything. He replied indifferently, "It's been more than seven years."

"Does it happen every time? Do you often vomit blood? 300 ml? Lisa, you know you can't be too tired, but you still work like this. This is a big, serious problem! Do you not want your stomach anymore?" Jennie was so furious.

Lisa just smiled and gently brushed away the hair on her face.

Jennie knew that now was not the time to discuss this. Lisa needed to rest, so she didn't say anything more. She carefully covered his body with a blanket. "I just checked your medical report. It seems like you still need three to four IV drips. You need to stay here for the night.?Go to sleep first."

Lisq woke up again at night and saw Jennie lying on the edge of his bed. He moved to the side slightly to let her lie down next to him.

Jennie disagreed, saying that it was such a small bed.She didn't mind, mainly because she was afraid that Lisa wouldn't be able to sleep well.

Lisa ignored her and called the doctor to prepare a small bed next to his.

Only then he stopped complaining and went back to sleep.

It was really dark in the emergency room. Jennie was lying on the bed while thinking about where V would stay or where he was. That damn brat didn't even answer his phone.

Jennie was just about to send a message when Lisa's phone on the drawer vibrated.

She turned her head to the side and casually reached out her hand to take it, only to see that it was actually a message from Niki. "Buddha says, 'You have taken my life, and I will repay you for your debts. Buddha also said, 'You love my heart, and I pity your beauty.' This is because in our relationship, and after a hundred thousand tribulations, I have always been tied down."

Jennie stared at the message for a long time. Then directly replied, "Buddha also once said that all love belongs to one's marriage. It is rare for a relationship to last for a long time."

After a long time, there was still no reply.

Jennie didn't know if Niki guessed that the message was written by her or if she didn't want to respond to it.

Jennie did not have the habit of peeping around, nor did she intend to delete the text. She put the phone to the side and looked at Lisa's sleeping face.

In her mind, she vaguely remembered when she saw Niki lacing Bella's shoes at Beidou Avenue during the day. The mother and daughter pair held hands and went shopping together.

Just like that, Jennie fell asleep on the side of the bed. When she woke up, it was almost 6 in the morning. It was already dawn and Lisa had already woken up. She insisted on buying some light food for him to eat before she rushed out of the hospital.

Shortly afterward, Jennie returned to the emergency room with a bowl of porridge. She opened the lid of the bowl and started feeding the food to Lisa.

He did not open his mouth and just looked at her for a long time.

"I know my appearance is not very attractive now. My face must be oily and my hair untidy, like a crazy woman, but I came in a hurry yesterday, so how do I have time to tidy up my appearance? I did not bring a comb with me, and even though I don't look good right now, you can still recognize me, right?"

Then she put her hand on her waist and shouted. "What are you looking at! You've never seen a woman who did not comb her hair or wash her face before?!"
