The next day, Jennie went to a nearby clinic to buy some traditional medicine to reduce her pregnancy discomfort. There was no Sister Yanmei to help her here. She must learn to take care of herself and the child in her own womb on her own.

Before Jennie left the clinic, she happened to meet her former alumnus at the university, Nayeon, who also worked at the same clinic as her.

"Ah, is that you, Jennie?" When Nayeon saw her, she was so shocked until she couldn't even close her mouth. The moment Jennie smile at her, she slapped her on the shoulder, "Sh*t, where did you go? I've been looking for you for months! I heard from our other friends that you went to H City. When did you come back? Are you alright? What are you doing at the clinic? Don't answer. Let's have lunch first."

Nayeon invited Jennie to lunch together at a small restaurant near their university. She ordered two bowls of rice flour and slyly said that it's been a while since she ate this food. Once the waiter served their food, Nayeon immediately asked, "Tell me everything."

Jennie placed her chopsticks in the bowl before she looked at Nayeon. "I married one of the CEOs of a well-known company."

Nayeon scoffed, "Stop joking. Did you lose your mind after the two of us didn't see each other for a year and a half? You were full of nonsense."

Jennie continued, "You know, when you have a good man by your side, a lot of women want to be pests of your relationship. Originally, I felt that it was unrealistic and I tried to stay away from getting involved with him, but he was too good. Slowly he tore down the defensive wall in my heart and made me fall in love with him."

Nayeon looked at her with wide eyes.

Jennie chuckled. "After I fell in love with him, a woman suddenly tried to ruin my relationship by saying that this man was hers. What's more tragic is that she also had a daughter. From the looks of it, this man seemed to be hers. When something happens, he is always by her side. It's like that woman needs him more than I do."

"F*ck, what are you trying to say? Are you telling me a fairy tale? I know you are a journalist, but to make a story like this...Jennie Kim, are you well?"

Jennie took a glass of juice and sipped it, then she put the glass back on the table.

"It's a shame that I still want to cling to that man, even though I know he doesn't belong to me. I love everything about him. His handsomeness, his tenderness, his love, everything. You know, it's always hard to let go of things you like."

Nayeon was confused. She stretched out her hand and touched Jennie's forehead. "Let's go to the clinic later and ask them to give you an injection. Tsk tsk. You are delirious."

Seeing Jennie's expression, Nayeon felt helpless and put down her chopsticks. She looked at her patiently, "Fine, continue telling the story. I'll listen. We will eat after you finish. What happened then?"

"In the end, I owned the man but only for a certain period. It turned out he was really not mine."

Nayeon slammed the table, "You... Don't dilly-dally, just tell me the outcome!"

Jennie laughed and mocked herself, "I am still not reconciled to this. Later on, we will have a wedding. At first, I felt that my dream finally came true, that I would be able to be happy with him, that he had become completely mine. But then I suddenly realized that this was just a dream. I never once entered his world."

Nayeon almost vomited blood, "Jennie Kim, stop pausing for every second! Tell me the outcome already!"

"Then I beat that woman."

"Are you serious?!" Nayeon threw her chopsticks. "It's not good to steal other woman's man and you still have the nerve to beat her up? Jennie Kim, when the f*ck did you start behaving like this?"
