Jennie immediately resisted the urge to spit on his face. A knife appeared in her hand out of nowhere, screaming as she slashed at the person in front of her while resisting.

Wei jumped off the bed and tried to run. Jennie immediately rushed out of bed, ignoring her naked body. She yanked the door open the moment Wei ran out of the room.

However, the moment she raised the blade, that blurry face turned clear. It was ... Lisa!

"It's me!" Lisa's eyes were filled with anxiety and anger, just like the time when he broke into the basement of that bar. Jennie's hand stiffened, but it was already too late to stop.

Lisa's face paled and his tall figure slowly fell to the ground before her eyes.

"No! No no no. No! Lisa! Lisa, please don't die. Wake up!" Jennie screamed loudly as she crouched down and hugged his bleeding body that was gradually turning cold.

She cried out in pain, "Lisa, don't die! Don't leave me. Please, wake up."

Jennie suddenly woke up from her stupor and shot up from the bed.

She threw herself into a warm and familiar embrace. Her body trembled violently. She looked at Lisa's handsome face with her teary eyes.

Lisa had been reading a file in his study when he heard her screaming. He had rushed back to their bedroom and hugged her after she woke up from the nightmare.

"Another nightmare?" Lisa's voice was so gentle and it was able to calm all of her emotions. He gently held her in his arms and continued caressing her back.

Jennie finally calmed herself down after sniffing on the familiar scent. However, she couldn't resist grabbing onto his sleeve tightly. Without saying a word, she lowered her head and buried it in his chest.

"Tell me, what did you dream about?" Seeing her childish behavior, Lisa couldn't help but ask with a light smile.

"Lisa, will you leave me?" Jennie asked in a muffled voice. After asking, she felt that she had made a big fuss out of nothing. It was a bizarre dream, but those dreams really scared her.

Jennie thought of the time when Lisa had been shot and almost lost his life. She also thought of the underworld people who had offered a high reward for his head.

Jennie had never wished as much as she did now. She hoped that Lisa was just an ordinary person and that no one wanted his life. She also hoped that Lisa didn't have many restrictions and complications in the business world.

For some reason, Jennie suddenly felt terrified. Things that she had always understood had actually scared her to this extent. She couldn't help but tightly hug his waist, burying her head in his chest.

Whether or not she had truly become dependent on him, whether or not she had fallen in love to the point where she can't free herself from him, it didn't matter anymore.

Lisa pushed her away by half an arm and looked down at her pale face. He gently ruffled her hair. "Idiot, I won't abandon you. We are husband and wife, no matter where and no matter what time, we will always be together. Do you hear me?"

Jennie suddenly felt that she was making small things become big. She couldn't help but rub her nose and smiled apologetically. "Mmm."

"Are you still worried about Somi? Look at you, you've only slept for a few hours, and you're having nightmares again."

Jennie nodded, then shook her head, "Didn't people say pregnant women are too sensitive? Maybe this is related to pregnancy, but this is the first time in a long time I have had such a bloody dream."
