"Tell Mrs. Manoban, I will slowly reciprocate what had happened twenty years ago."

Jennie was shocked. She could only stare at V's back as he opened his car door. She looked in the direction where the car drove off, with her heart beating like a drum.

'Tell Mrs. Manoban, I will slowly reciprocate what had happened twenty years ago.'

What did V mean by that?

Jennie turned around and saw Chitthip's eyes looking at V's fading car. She looked like she was thinking about something.

"Mom." Jennie called out her name.

Chitthip retracted her gaze and smiled at her. "Are you cold?"

Without waiting for Jennie's replied, Chitthip lifted her collar and smoothed it. "Child, you have been alone for many years. You are actually just a little girl back then but you raised your brother well."

Jennie did not know if there was a hidden meaning behind Chitthip's words, she couldn't say anything recklessly. She just pursed her lip and said, "Mom, it's not easy for every woman. Whether it's for my brother or my own child, I will fight for the people I love until my last breath."

Chitthip nodded and patted her hand. Many things cannot be proved by words alone, but also by deeds. "Good child, to have such a state of mind is enough to prove that you are more sensible than many others."

Jennie only smiled.

Actually, she wasn't very sensible. She was just used to understanding.

In this world, if one were too demanding and did not have a magnanimous heart to understand everything, then the one who would suffer the most would be herself. In reality, this was only her protection.

Precisely at 7 pm, as Chitthip said earlier, the Manoban Family's driver came to Greenville Residence to pick up Lisa and Jennie to Manoban Residence.

As soon as they got there, Chitthip was already waiting for them at the door and quickly took Jennie's hand, bringing her into the house. Lisa just smiled, following them both from behind.

"Our Jennie is a lucky star to our Manoban Family. She often encounters troubles, but she's still carrying the great-grandson that you've been waiting for all this time." Chitthip's voice contained a sense of happiness.

The moment Jennie entered the door, she saw Old Man, who was wearing a rare formal attire and was full of spirit, waiting for her.

"Grandfather." Jennie had already mentally prepared herself before coming here, so she smiled daintily at him. Old Man looked away.

Lisa smiled as he gently pushed Jennie towards the Old Man.At the same time, he said softly in a voice that only she could hear, "Grandpa is really awkward with his emotion. He might not be very happy right now but it doesn't mean that he will hurt you. Go, don't be afraid."

"Huh?" Jennie turned around and looked at Lisa, then looked back at Old Man's majestic appearance. She weighed him in her heart and then moved closer to him, "Grandpa ..."

"Come with me to the study." Old Man suddenly stood up and leered at her with his walking stick before turning around and heading upstairs.

Jennie froze on the spot, unable to react for a moment.

"I'm talking to you, why is this girl like a piece of wood?" Old Man suddenly turned his head and shot her another sidelong glance, as if he was in a bad mood.

"Oh ..." Jennie was a little confused. She turned around and looked at Chitthip, who was smiling, and Lisa, who was gesturing for her to follow the Old Man. Jennie had no choice but to follow the Old Man upstairs.

"You're pregnant so quickly, spoiled girl!" Old Man muttered as he walked inside the study.

Jennie was a little embarrassed. The old man went around the desk and said, "Close the door."

Jennie hurriedly closed the door to the study, but she was a little perturbed. She didn't know what kind of thoughts the Old Man had in his mind. Would he use one of the top ten torture methods on her?"

"Spoiled girl, you! Come here."

"Oh." Jennie quickly walked over and stood in the middle of the study. She looked around and saw two bookshelves filled with books and two old weapons but apparently functioning hanging on the wall.

Lisa had just said that the Old Man was actually feeling awkward, so right now, she's trying to figure out how she should persuade and steal his heart.

Her eyes landed on a box of tea on the desk.

Jennie suddenly recalled the Old Man liked to drink tea, so she quickly walked to a thermos on the table nearby. She carefully poured a cup of tea and walked over to the Old Man, "Grandpa, do you want to drink tea?"

"What are you doing? I haven't slept for two days, and you still want me to drink tea?" The Old Man roared with vigor.

"Ugh... I... I'm sorry. I thought you were thirsty." Jennie innocently opened her eyes wide and carefully put down the teacup.

"Don't stand on my side. Go stand over there!" The Old Man suddenly frowned and pointed to the bookshelf behind her.

Jennie was confused and didn't understand what the Old Man was trying to do, but she still took two steps back and stood in front of the bookshelf.

The Old Man just sat at his chair and glanced at the cup. He didn't drink it, but he didn't throw it away either.

Jennie's mouth twitched. "Grandpa... Do you want to talk to me about something?"

"What can I talk to you about?" The Old Man glanced at her and continued to sing in that melodious melody, shaking his head as he hummed, "In that dream of spring, there were flowers everywhere. Today, the roof is green and the trees are green. Why is there no news of your departure? The beginnings of the flower have been waiting until now."

Just as Jennie was about to take a step forward, the Old Man suddenly pulled out a ruler from nowhere and slapped it on his hand. He did not even look at her, "Don't move, stand there with your chest puffed out!"

"Standing up just like a soldier?" Jennie froze.

"Don't think that this Old Man can't do anything to you just because you have Lisa protecting you." The Old Man crossed his legs and continued to shake his head. The ruler in his hand also lightly tapped back and forth.

Jennie's mouth twitched again as she stood rooted to the spot.

After a while, the Old Man picked up the teacup on the table, took a sip, smacked his lips, and then put it down again, "Hmm, your skill on brewing tea is not bad. You know how much water is needed to fill the cup." After saying that, he turned and glanced at her. "Spoiled girl, can you make Tieguanyin tea?"

Jennie immediately answered honestly, "No." Then she added, "If grandpa likes it, I can learn it. Hehe!"

The Old Man glanced at her and gave a cold snort. "You're quite quick-witted, but this Old Man likes silly girls. I don't like monkeys!"

Jennie immediately stopped smiling and pursed her lips. It was obvious that the Old Man wasn't fair. His doting on Diana made him completely blind. If not, how can the double-faced Diana deceive him? Everyone else was a monkey to him.

"What is it? You're cursing me in your heart, aren't you?"

Jennie: "...."
