Jennie returned to the company with an embarrassed face. She vowed that she would never go on a blind date again. Someone suddenly patted her on the shoulder and said, "Little Kim, Chief Editor Wang is looking for you. He is in the Department of Commerce."
Jennie nodded and went straight to the Department of Commerce. Who knew that when she had just entered the office, Jackson immediately handed her a form?
"You worked in H City's Fengyu Media for half a year?" he asked.
"That's right, what's wrong?" Jennie was a little puzzled by his prominent question.
"I asked a friend to look into your work in Fengyu Media. I heard you were the Department of Commerce editor, and they seemed to have a good impression of you. Would you rather work in the Entertainment Department or the Department of Commerce? If it's the Department of Commerce, then there's a vacancy here for an editor. The tasks in this section are quite difficult, and not just ordinary people can do. However, I still really trust you."
"But I just returned to the company." Jennie brushed a strand of hair behind her ear embarrassedly.
"It doesn't matter. As long as you think you are competent, I will arrange an internship for you. Although you are doing well in the Entertainment Department, but I feel you don't fit with that job. Why don't you return to your original post?"
"What is Brother Wang talking about? Actually, I am satisfied with this job."
Jackson ignored her and gave her another document, "Tomorrow morning at the center of the city, the leaders of all the large enterprises in the country will meet. Our company was invited there and allowed to take pictures but with the condition, all the tasks should be done without interrupting them. They are all big names in the business world, you can't mess with them."
With that, Jackson stuffed the document into Jennie's hands, "Do your job well. If the recording and press release are done well, you will definitely return to your original position quickly."
Jennie took the documents and hugged them to her chest. She smiled gratefully, "Thank you, Brother Wang. You had helped promote me two years ago, and now I still have to depend on you again. I am very grateful."
"There's no need for that. Go back to your work. Remember not to make any mistakes tomorrow and not to speak carelessly. Those few leaders are all from important provinces and cities. We can't afford to offend them."
Jennie nodded, then paused and asked, "Are the leaders from H City also taking part in the meeting?"
Jackson glanced at her. "H City?" He thought for a moment. "I have asked the staff there, and I think they have two meetings. The party from H City will come next week, so they shouldn't be here tomorrow. Why?"
"Nothing, I'm just asking." Jennie smiled and left the office with the stack of documents in her arms.

The next day Jennie went to the Garden Tech Zone with Sister Pan from the Department of Commerce.
Garden Tech Zone was a well-known entertainment club in F City. Under normal circumstances, those without status wouldn't be able to take a step inside. However, because they were special reporters from the city newspaper company, the security guards at the front door had to carefully check their work permits, ID cards and scan their bodies before finally allowing them to pass.
"It seems that these people aren't ordinary people today. Normally, when I came here for an interview, those security guards would recognize me and let me in easily. But look today, the security at this club is very strict. It seemed that these leaders are all from a pretty strong background. Jennie, you can help me record this press conference later. I need to ask some questions first, so don't interrupt me." Sister Pan was an old employee in the business department, and she used to treat Jennie like a child and a beginner.
Jennie didn't like to show off her edge, so she smiled and said, "Sure."
Under the guidance of staff members, they were able to find out that some of the leaders were in the reception room at the end of the corridor. However, when Jennie was about to follow Sister Pan, suddenly, a person hurried out and stuffed a folder into her hands.
Jennie was stunned. "This is ...?"
"I am the secretary to CEO Shen. Later, he may ask you to send these files. I suddenly have a stomach ache and need to rush to the toilet. Are you a journalist? Since you have nothing to do here, I have to trouble you to send these files later. Thank you, and I'm sorry that I have to trouble you." After saying that, the man clutched his stomach with a pained expression as he frantically ran out of the room.
Jennie's mouth twitched as she exchanged a glance with Sister Pan. Sister Pan smiled at her. "Just send these files first. It's not like these bosses will eat you. Just wait here. I'll go in and interview first. You can come inside once you finish the task."
Jennie could only nod. She looked down and saw that these files were a business statistics file. No wonder the man was so confident that a stranger like her could help him. But this secretary was really sloppy.
Soon, someone was looking for the secretary. Jennie hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are you looking for these files?"
The man looked at her a little and nodded. She explained the reason behind the exchange. The man examined her a few more times before cautiously allowing her to pass.
"Go inside and please watch your words."
Jennie nodded and the moment she walked into the reception room, the person beside her pointed out, "CEO Shen is over there, in the third chair on the left."
When Jennie walked towards him, she stopped for a moment after taking two steps. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a familiar man sitting in a leather chair to her right.
That man quietly sat there, wearing a white casual shirt. His figure was as slender and tall as in her memories. His exquisite facial features were sharp as a piece of wood.
After not seeing Lisa for nearly a month, Jennie was suddenly shocked to see him. Her steps paused abruptly for two seconds. However, his gaze was not on her. Instead, he was talking to a similarly well-dressed man. They both seemed to be having a happy conversation.
His smile was still as soft as ever, as if nothing had happened. It was as if he was still the same Lisa who was protecting her behind his back, the one who could block everything for her and could accommodate everything at the same time.
Jennie instantly controlled her emotions, and without much of an expression, she walked towards CEO Shen, passing the files in her hand to him, "CEO Shen, these are the files that your secretary asked me to pass to you. He suddenly has something urgent, so he asked me to help him deliver it."
"So that's the case. Just now, I was wondering why a beautiful woman suddenly came in." CEO Shen stood up, smiled, and nodded to her. "Thank you. Thank you very much."
"CEO Shen is too polite. This is only a small matter." Jennie also nodded politely before turning around and leaving the high-end reception room.
Someone behind her suddenly chattered, "Right, President Manoban. It's rare for Old Shi going out after he fell sick and none of us have the chance to meet him. I heard you met Old Shi at Western Restaurant yesterday afternoon? How is he?"
The moment Jennie walked out of the room, her face suddenly turned numb.
Western Restaurant? Yesterday noon?
F City was not a bustling city, only a second-tier city. Therefore, there was only one Western Restaurant in F City, near her company.
Wasn't she at Western Restaurant when she saw that turtle yesterday?
At the same time, Jennie felt a familiar gaze from behind her. She stood in the same spot, and after pausing for a moment, she walked directly into the room where Sister Pan was, without looking back.
