"What I should know and what I shouldn't know doesn't matter here." V said in a low voice. Then, he took the wine bottle on the table and drank it all in one gulp.

Jennie quickly took the bottle from his hand. "Stop drinking! V, no matter what, we can talk about this. Don't drink again!"

"Why must you care about me?" V looked at her coldly.

"Why do you mean? I am your ..." Before Jennie could even finish her sentence, she saw a mockery in his eyes. She could not help but glare at him, and said firmly, "You once said that we are one, that we always needed each other, and no one can take each place! That's what you said, yourself!"

In the end, V merely snorted coldly, as if he didn't want to say anything.

Seeing his attitude, Jennie immediately became angry and pinched his arm. "You brat! Turn around and talk to me! Don't make things difficult for me!"

V was pinched hard by Jennie, but he didn't shake her off. He just stood on the spot and didn't say a word.

The room was filled with the smell of alcohol. Jennie felt uncomfortable and walked to the window and opened it. As she looked back, she saw V staring at her with a contemptuous look.

She paused and frowned. "V, can you stop acting like a brat? I've been looking for you for two full days, and I thought you were going back to F City, so I tried to call you, but you kept turning off the phone. No matter what happens, I am still your sister. You shouldn't do this!"

V remained silent.

"Let me ask you, since when did you know that I'm not related to you?" Jennie said quickly.

V pursed his lips and looked away.

"Tell me!" Jennie raised her voice.

"What do you want me to say?!" With a cold face, he said, "That I came to Chunsan a few years ago and learned the truth about the past from some of my friends? That I started to lose control of my feelings when I knew I wasn't related to you? That I already had an impression of you, Jennie, years ago? That seeing your current happiness, I have no other choice but to back off and not bother you?!"

Every word was like a cry of blood, and something hidden in the depths of V's heart for so long was suddenly forced out because of Jennie's persistence.

Jennie suddenly felt that her palm gradually became sweaty. She also couldn't resist the urge to go up and slap him. She forcefully held her nervousness and anger and stood by the window. The cold wind blowing from outside helped her keep her mind clear.

'That I started to lose control of my feelings when I knew I wasn't related to you?'

'That I already had an impression of you, Jennie, years ago?'

These words really destroyed the stable wall in her heart. Jennie looked at V with a calm expression. She couldn't say a word for a long time.

"You forced me to say it." V said when he felt her gaze on him.

He knew these truths were hard for her to accept. In fact, he, himself, even found it hard to accept.

V could not help but laugh, tucking up his bathrobe. He closed his eyes and, sighing, gave off the feeling of a broken pot.

"Jennie, at first I wanted to at least give us some leeway. You don't have to hurt me, and I don't have to embarrass you. But now, you've squeezed out all of my leeways." V smiled a little desolately and sadly, "Like you said, we have been relying on each other for more than twenty years, and in the most difficult times. We almost starved to death together in the basement like beggars. We drank rainwater together, and we ate a pot of cabbage soup together. We have a good relationship all these years. Yes, we may always argue, but that brings us closer to each other."

"And ..." V frowned, "When I wanted to reveal this to you a few years ago, you were already with Kai at the time. Even though you knew from a very young age that you and I are not related by blood, you still treated me like your own brother, and I know that some things should not be revealed, but once everything was revealed, I am afraid that everything between you and I will change, and with your personality, you will definitely avoid me. That's why instead of confessing my feelings to you, I wanted to work hard to repay all the things you have done for me. But look at us now..." V let out a sigh of relief with a faint smile on his face.

Jennie stared at him, saying nothing.

V also stood by the liquor cabinet, silently looking at her.

After a long while, Jennie tightly clenched her fist, which was hidden inside her sleeve. She calmed down again and said seriously, "V, do you know what you're saying?"

V paused for a moment before looking at her resolutely. "Of course, I know."

Jennie took a deep breath before she said, "No matter what, you can not let yourself be like this. In the future, stay away from those women, just like the one from before and don't drink too much. We can talk to each other, whether it's something I can or can't accept. I can listen to it calmly. V, don't hurt yourself like this."

"Nothing is going on between that woman and me. Nothing happened yet, you interrupted us." V said in a low voice, but he was still surprised by her calmness.

Jennie frowned and felt sad with his indifferent tone, but she knew that she had to endure it now. At the very least, she cannot let her relationship with V fall apart.

Right now, Jennie's mind was in a mess. She never thought things would become like this.

She suppressed her anger and said softly, "You rest in this hotel first. I'll come to look for you in two days."

She needed to gather her thoughts before she could find a way to deal with it.

After Jennie finished speaking, she brushed past V. Her entire body tensed up. She did not stop for a moment, intending to leave the room immediately.

But things didn't go as she planned.

Jennie was startled, and before she could even open her mouth, her arm was pulled back by V. His body was lightly pressed against her at the wine shelf.

V slowly bent down his head, looking at her seriously and attentively. The struggle in his eyes was so obvious.

No!

Jennie screamed in her heart. She raised her hand to push him away, but instead, it was caught by him. V firmly pressed her hand on the shelf. He looked into her eyes, which were filled with fear, and his gaze became even darker.

This was the first time Jennie had felt fear towards V, someone who had snuggled up to her for warmth, someone who was only a few months younger than she was.

V grabbed her arm tightly and bent down to kiss her. Jennie immediately shouted, "V, stop!"
