Lisa looked at the time. "It's 3 in the morning. If nothing goes wrong, dad's car will be here by 1 in the afternoon. Let's go today!"

Jennie nodded. She didn't know if V knew that they were going to see his mother this time.

When she came here, she heard from Old Man that V's mother's name was Jia. Her father was a soldier and was accused of being involved in the big case twenty years ago. He was already under the law. If Jia had not been sent to the United States by them at that time, she would not have had a good life at home.

Jia.

Jennie vaguely remembered seeing some black and white photos of the young woman in one of her mother's photo albums. In that picture, her mother was standing with another girl around the same age.

In the photo, they were like two very good sisters. In the photo, her mother held a paintbrush while the girl was standing beside her, happily laughing with her.

They were standing in the European style of architecture, laughing heartily.

What made the deepest impression on her was that the two women in the photo were very tall and of the same shape. If it weren't for the fact that they had different faces, Jennie would point to another girl in the photo as her mother.

It was unknown if she remembered, or if there really was such a memory, but she vaguely remembered hearing her mother mention the name when she was very young.

That name was Jia.

Therefore, when Jennie heard the name of V's mother from Old Man,she became even more curious.

Now that she thought about it, she felt that it was already hard enough for her mother, who wasn't too rich, to raise her, but why did she have to go to the orphanage and bring V back too?

Jennie didn't even know if it was the orphanage because at that time, she was still a child and didn't even know anything.

The couple in front of them had already ordered a cake. Jennie and Lisa walked forward and after she ordered the size and style of the cake, they happily rushed back to the hotel.

"Lis, in the years when you studied here, were you as cheerful as that university couple?" She asked.

Lisa didn't answer and just silently looked out the window. After a while, he finally said, "If I didn't have Manoban Enterprise, maybe my life can be considered carefree and unrestrained."

When Jennie went to college, she didn't have any time for entertainment at all. Not to mention a delicious cake, she couldn't buy a single dollar of ice on the street because she had to save her money for tuition fees and living expenses. Not only did she have to support her life, but she also had to support V's life.

Now that she saw those blissful couples holding hands, she had nothing but envy.

Jennie didn't ask any further questions but instead leaned on his shoulder and whispered, "Happy birthday, Lisa."

Lisa hugged her back. He bent his head and whispered into her ear with malicious intent, "Anyone can say such empty words. Since it's my birthday, shouldn't you let me continue to get closer to our child?"

"Huh?"

Jennie was stunned for a moment. Get closer? The child hadn't been born yet, so how can he be close?

When she finally reacted, she saw that Lisa had been laughing for a long time. Only then did she realize what was happening. Her face immediately flushed, and as she got out of the car, she used her hands to hammer his body while saying, "Lisa Manoban, you're such a hooligan!"
