Jennie was stunned for a moment. She held the cleaning cloth in a daze and stood in front of the door, looking at the small, dark room that was slightly ajar.

As she thought about how the door was not locked, the phone in the living room suddenly rang. Jennie put down the cloth and quickly went to pick up the phone. It was Sister Yanmei.

"Hello, Young Madam, I hurriedly asked for leave last night, and today I just remembered that I had cleaned the small room under the stairs a few days ago. I had opened the door of the room with a spare key, but I forgot to lock it. I remember Young Master once said that the items in the room were very important, but since I couldn't read, he allowed me to come in to clean it up occasionally."

Jennie was surprised before saying, "Don't worry, Lisa won't scold people casually. All right, I understand. I will help you lock the door."

"Thank you, Young Madam!" Sister Yanmei smiled and said, "Then I hung up first. My old man is very sick and needs to undergo surgery."

"All right, stop worrying and watch your body." Jennie said softly and put down the phone.

She sat on the couch for a long time before turning around and looked at a small room that was slightly open.

Although she had promised that she would not enter the small room, they had already faced all the trials when they became husband and wife. They were not strangers and a fake couple who knew each other only a few days when they first got married.

If it had nothing to do with Niki, then why can't she see it?

Sister Yanmei said she couldn't read, so Lisa allowed her to clean the room. Could it be that there was some information or something very important in it?

Jennie's strong curiosity made her stand up and walk towards the door. She stood in front of it and looked at the slightly open door, hesitating for a long time. She struggled with herself; should she come in or not?

Jennie started to feel around and found a light switch on the wall. As she turned on the lights, she looked around and saw a small room about six or seven square meters, with two bookshelves on each side.

There was a laptop on the large table and next to it was a shelf filled with files and information.

Jennie hung the cleaning cloth she had brought back on the door handle and walked in. She looked at the bookshelves on both sides and noticed that many of them were very thick files. She knew that these files contained some secret information, so she just looked at it once and continued to wander around the room.

Jennie walked to the deepest part of the room. Just like that, she broke into the space that Lisa did not allow people to enter.

She had a feeling that in Lisa's world, it did not only contain her. She was curious about him, and thus, she took the file on the bookshelf.

This file was about the Shencheng's Army 20 years ago. Jennie flipped through the file, and inside it, there's information about the Shencheng Army, the history of its formation, how it relates to equipment factories and dirt cases.

There was Lisa's signature at the bottom of the cover of this line of notes. The signature was not a name but rather a sign, indicating that he had already read this file.

Jennie paused for a moment. Was this the notorious act of greed from twenty years ago?

It's been over twenty years, so why did Lisa want to know this? Since when did he start to get involved in politics? Everyone knew about this famous greedy act case from twenty years ago. In the end, to put it bluntly, a senior officer arrested someone in charge of manufacturing equipment. They found some evidence of corruption in the man's house and tried to use that method to frame him.

That person was Jia's father.

Jia, the Manoban Family, Chaerin, and the Kim Family; what exactly was the connection between them?

With the help of the light in the room, Jennie opened the file and started flipping through it seriously.

She looked at the time. It was only afternoon, so she decided to sit down at the large table. She glanced at the laptop on the table and suddenly felt that it was a little familiar. It was the one Lisa had left in the study room last time.

Jennie opened it randomly. She knew the password for this computer, and of course, after inserting it, she found again on his hard disk a picture of the last crystal jewelry that Brazil sent. At that time, only a few photos were simulated, but now some were originals.

After reading for a while, Jennie put the file in her hand and got up to look at the others. Suddenly, she found a familiar brown paper bag next to a pile of documents.

Her eyes trembled.

This brown paper bag... Wasn't it when she was still working at Fengyu Media company and happened to find it on her desk when she was at work one day?

She took the bag, opened it, and took out a stack of photos.

Sure enough, they were all the tragic photographs of her mother after she jumped off a building and committed suicide.

Lisa had taken the bag and told her to leave everything to him. He also ordered her not to look at these things anymore.

So why did he leave these pictures here?

And why was this bag placed next to these files related to corruption cases over the past twenty years?

Just as Jennie's mind was in chaos, her cell phone suddenly rang. She quickly turned around and went out to pick up the phone. "Hello? Lis?"

"Jen, I've been very busy for the past few days and had come home very late. Today, I have finally completed all my work, so I'm thinking of taking you out for a walk." Lisa's gentle voice sounded from the phone.

Jennie still had the photos in her hand. Lisa's voice was gentle and full of patience, as if he would do anything for her even if she said she wanted the moon in the sky.

She paused, and the hand holding the phone tightened slightly. She opened her mouth and looked at the time. It's only three o'clock in the evening.

"Rarely can I complete all my accumulated work. I want to come back and accompany you as soon as possible." Lisa said with a smile.

Jennie looked at the things in her hands and hesitated for a moment. "There is no need for you to rush. There are many things you have to do at work, so there is no need for you to keep thinking about accompanying me."

Apparently realizing something was wrong with her, Lisa, who was driving the car, casually asked, "Jennie? Do you feel unwell?"

Jennie actually just wanted Lisa to explain everything as soon as possible, but she believed that there must be a reason why he hid everything from her. She could understand that, but she just wanted to get everything straight.

If he came back now, this room might have to be locked and she can't investigate everything more clearly.

However, Lisa was so wise and insightful. If she suddenly refused to let him return home early, how could he not be worried?

Jennie frowned and bit her lip before saying, "No, I just don't want to delay your work."

"Want peaches or bananas? I think you already got tired from eating apples these few months. I'll buy something else on the way home, alright?" Lisa ignored her words and asked softly while smiling.

"Alright."

"Fine, be good and stay at home. Wait for me to come back and accompany you."

"Alright, drive slowly and be careful of your surroundings."

After hanging up, Jennie hurried back to the small room, put the photo back in the brown bag, put the file back on the bookcase, turned off the computer, and restored everything in the room to its original position.
