Jennie was starving. She got up from the couch and went to the kitchen to cook noodles. While waiting for the noodles to cook, Jennie's mind went back to the call just now. She had fought for their marriage, so how can she be willing to admit defeat just like that.

She put down the bowl, picked up the phone again, and called Lisa again. This time, the call was connected quickly. It was still Niki. "Hello?"

Jennie spoke into the phone lightly, "Miss Zhou, three days from now, at 9:58 am, I welcome you to my wedding. The ceremony will be held in the VIP Room on the first floor of the Halcyon Hotel. I will send an invitation card to you tomorrow."

There was a long silence and then a chuckle could be heard. "So it's you, Jennie?"

"Don't forget to attend." Jennie ignored Niki's laughter and politely ended the call.

Maybe Jennie was really stupid enough to keep holding in this marriage. Maybe too many people would laugh at the current her but she was too f*cking unwilling to let it go just like that!

When Jennie realized she had not taken medicine, she took the bowl and sipped it. She had been drinking this medicine for a few days now. Why did she only realize that the medicine was so bitter that it made people want to cry?

Sister Yanmei finished tidying up the room. After seeing Jennie drink the medicine, she reminded her to rest early and left on time.

Instead of going to the bedroom to rest, Jennie decided to sit in front of her laptop, completing her report. Suddenly she felt a little dizzy. Jennie immediately put the laptop on the sofa, ran into the bathroom, knelt beside the toilet, and vomited. She could not spit anything out, but she really felt very uncomfortable.

Perhaps it was because Jennie sat on the floor for too long, her blood circulation became unstable because as she stood up, her vision darkened and she felt dizzy. Her body involuntarily fell backward.

Jennie wanted to grab something to support herself, but she couldn't, and in the blink of an eye, she felt a warmth from behind. Lisa immediately went to help her stand.

Jennie didn't know when he returned.

"Are you uncomfortable? Have you drunk the medicine?" Lisa was still as gentle as ever as he carried her all the way to their bedroom and gently put her on the bed. He knelt in front of the bed and stroked her sweaty forehead. "Don't kneel too long in the toilet anymore."

Jennie did not say anything, only calmly looked at his still gentle and everlasting smile and the care in his eyes.

Lisa took off his coat and threw it on the bed. Jennie saw his phone sticking out of the coat's pocket. She didn't understand. Niki had clearly answered two calls from her, so how could Lisa be so calm as if nothing had happened?

While Lisa went to the kitchen, Jennie took his phone from the pocket and opened it. The two phone calls she made did not exist. Jennie was stunned for a moment before she quietly put the phone back into the pocket.

Lisa went back to the bedroom with a plate of sliced fruit. He gave her two pieces first before putting the plate on the stand next to the bed. "Eat this fruit first. This fruit can help relieve your nausea. I saw your laptop on the sofa. Did you play with it?"

Jennie nodded as she ate the fruit he handed her. "I only played with it for a short while."

Lisa suddenly became serious. "Didn't I tell you before that even though the laptop has an anti-radiation filter, you still can't touch it? Your unstable pregnancy will get worse and make you dizzy easily. You will vomit more if you keep facing the laptop for a long time."
