As he said this, he held her tightly with one hand and untied the rope on her wrist with the other. Lisa looked at the red mark on her wrist, which had blood oozing out from it. His eyes were ice-cold, but when his gaze turned to Jennie's face, his gaze gradually warmed up.

GD let the thugs go and quickly walked to the bedside to look at Jennie, only to see that her eyes were staring at him without blinking. Her hands and feet had already regained their freedom, but she seemed powerless to move, with a layer of mist in her eyes.

"Jennie?" GD frowned and tried to touch her. His hand was shaking. Jennie's body shuddered in that instant as she curled herself up into Lisa's embrace.

Lisa didn't say anything and used his thick jacket to wrap her tightly. He gently hugged her in his embrace as if he was afraid of hurting her. Lisa holding Jennie like he was holding a treasure that was almost gone, and his eyes were filled with love.

"Let's go home." Lisa whispered into her ear.

Seeing the expression on Jennie's face, GD's thoughts went back to winter seven years ago. He suddenly turned around and brutally kicked the thug in the leg. GD gritting his teeth while cursing, "Damn it!"

After a moment, he looked back at Lisa. GD walked over and said, "There's a wound on your shoulder. Let me carry her."

"No need!" Lisa's voice was cold and decisive. His cold gaze swept across those thugs. "The mastermind behind this is Wei. He should have been the first to escape after receiving the news."

With that, Lisa hugged Jennie tightly and walked out.

The door to the basement was opened, and more than a dozen enforcers rushed in. Lisa said in a low voice, "Take these men away. They must be alive. Not a single one of them must die."

His voice was low, yet it was so close to gnashing his teeth as he carried Jennie and prepared to leave.

"President Manoban, your injuries ..." Jisoo rushed over, but when she saw Jennie in Lisa's arms, her face turned stiff. Then she saw the blood seeping out of Lisa's shoulder and immediately exclaimed.

"I won't die!" Lisa's voice had a layer of frost on it, but when he lowered his head to look at Jennie, his face once again had a gentle warmth. He stroked her swollen red face and glanced at the blood-red scar below her neck and on her wrist and ankle.

Ignoring everyone, Lisa tightly wrapped his coat on Jennie's body and carried her out of the crowd.

There were countless police cars parked outside the bar. The moment Jennie's body touched the cold wind, she shrank into Lisa's embrace.

"Jennie, don't be afraid." Lisa said softly. His voice was right next to her ear, clearly and firmly conveying his warmth, dispelling her fear and nervousness.

Then, he no longer gave her a chance to be cold or scared. Lisa immediately carried her into the car and slammed the door shut, blocking everyone's gazes.

GD walked quickly out of the bar. He stood right where he was as he watched Lisa carry Jennie inside the car. There was anxiousness and worry in his eyes.

The bar was already surrounded by police cars, and soldiers and the police had completely surrounded the crowd.

As soon as Jennie was carried into the car, she could smell the scent of blood in the air, but she could not react for a moment and didn't know where the smell came from.

She could only sit on Lisa's lap with empty eyes. Lisa locked all the doors and buttoned up the buttons of his jacket one by one. He then took out a clean thin blanket and wrapped it around Jennie from top to bottom, slowly soothing her heart with gentleness.

Lisa was hugging Jennie tightly, kissing her forehead repeatedly, as if he didn't care at all about the humiliation she had once suffered.

Didn't Lisa feel disgusted with her?

Jennie didn't have much strength on her body, and she could only let Lisa's arm tighten around her waist. However, she struggled for a bit, but he firmly held her body down.

"Jennie Kim, listen carefully." Lisa knew what she was thinking at the moment. He held Jennie firmly in his arms, his eyes calm and serious, but at the same time, he grabbed her face with his hands and made her look at him. "You are my wife. No matter what happened, we will face it together! Trying to run away instead of facing it off was the stupidest way. I know you wouldn't do that!"

Jennie looked at him blankly. She looked at the determination and traces of tenderness in his eyes.

Even though they managed to make it in time, they weren't reduced to the worst situation yet. But to her, all of this intertwined with her past pain and it became an incredible agony.

Jennie could hardly free herself from Lisa's grip. She just wanted to curl into a ball so that no one could see her body. She wanted to go far to heal her wounds. Even she, herself, felt disgusted from top to bottom.

Lisa's hand tightened around her waist and his calm face showed a slight paleness and restlessness. His black eyes stared at her stiff expression. Lisa's gentleness and warmth slowly brought her back into the light.

Lisa tightened his grip as he slowly felt Jennie calming down. "Let's go back. The weather is too cold and the temperature in the basement is too low. You need to take a hot shower to get rid of the cold. You can't get sick."

Jennie nodded in his arms.

The smell of blood in the air becomes heavier and thicker. Jennie suddenly froze and raised her head to look over her shoulder. The light brown shirt was dyed red, and she suddenly remembered that Lisa was injured last night.

Jisoo said that Lisa was still unconscious, so why did he appear there now?!
