It was a miracle that they were able to avoid both speeding trucks at such speeds. If it weren't for Lisa's incredible driving skills, although he had to drive the car to a roadside fence, they both would still be able to survive compared to being hit by both trucks.

"Lisa!"

"Don't move!"

Suddenly, a minivan came out of nowhere. As Jennie screamed, a deafening collision was heard, and a white Nissan Sylphy flipped sideways in the left lane like a slow-motion picture in a movie.

Jennie closed her eyes and waited for the pain to strike ...

It was at that very instant that a black shadow blocked her. The instant she thought she would be pierced through to the stomach by the fragments of the car, a familiar warmth surrounded her. Then, her entire body was firmly protected.

Jennie thought she had escaped danger, but she felt sparks rising inside the car. She couldn't hear the sounds outside and could only open her eyes with difficulty, feeling that she was being held firmly by someone. Jennie could barely lift her head and she suddenly smelled the thick smell of blood through the smoke.

"Lisa..." Jennie weakly called out, struggling to look around as she felt the stench of blood grow stronger. She tried to lift the person above her, but she couldn't muster up any strength. She could only force herself to say, "How are you.."

"I'm fine ..." The familiar gentle voice was right next to her ear, but it was much weaker than usual. However, his arms were still strong as he hugged her. "Jennie, don't be afraid ..."

"Lisa, are you injured? I smell blood ..." Jennie struggled to get out from under him, but she felt his body tremble every time she moved. She didn't dare to move, but she raised her hand with difficulty, wanting to touch him.

"Small wound, don't be afraid. Close your eyes, don't look ..."

Lisa whispered into her ear, and his cold lips gently kissed her ear. "Be obedient. Don't open your eyes. This car is in bad condition."

"But ...How do we get out ..." This time, Jennie didn't listen to him. Instead, she forced her eyes open and stuck her head out from his chest.

Her eyes trembled as she looked up and saw that most of the sunken car roof was stuck behind him. No wonder Lisa trembled as she moved, the two of them squeezed together in the small space of the car.

He hugged her and protected her from the deadly metal parts that flew towards her, and when she moved, those parts would only sink deeper into his wound.

"Lisa.." Jennie was so shocked that she even forgot to scream. She only stared at the blood on his back and the part where the metals caved in, then saw that his forehead was also dyed red. She was so frightened that she cried out. "Lisa, don't scare me!"

Seeing her cry in fear, Lisa gritted his teeth and raised his hand , trying to get himself up, as not to hurt her stomach. He then went to open the deformed car door. "Don't cry, don't be afraid. Jennie, calm down, open the door. Although this car won't explode, but the burning gas will kill both of us before rescue arrives."

This was definitely a murder that someone had planned out, and even if someone came over to help, it would still take time.

Jennie raised her hand to wipe away her tears, not daring to look at the blood that was constantly flowing out of Lisa's body and the blood on his face. She just stared into his eyes and worked hard to open the deformed car door with him.

"Be good ..." Lisa seemed to have completely used up all of his strength. His blood-covered hand gradually dropped down to her side. His fingers grabbed onto Jennie's clothes, as if they were trying to give her more strength.

Jennie grabbed the English dictionary she usually carried in her bag and smashed it into the glass. After that, a voice was heard outside, as well as the sound of a police car approaching.

The smell of gasoline inside the car became stronger and stronger. Sparks seemed to have landed on the gas as it started to burn.

Jennie immediately whispered to the quiet Lisa. "Lisa, don't fall asleep, don't sleep."

He seemed to be able to hear her voice, and his fingers moved faintly on her shoulder. He was doing his best to reassure her.

With tears in her eyes, Jennie gritted her teeth and used a dictionary to smash the window further. She then held out her hand to tell people outside that they were still alive, hoping someone would come forward to help.

"The people in the car are still alive!"

Sure enough, someone saw her waving her arm outside. Jennie heard a loud shout and then a few cars stopped. Some kind of drivers came over to help.

"The people in the car are still alive, we should help them get out of there first. If we delay any longer, they might just die!"

"So much blood ..."

"Don't worry about that for now. Look at how this person is waving, hurry up and help them!"

"Alright!"

"Be careful, the sides of the car have caved in."

If Jennie moved now, it would only deepen the wound on Lisa's back. She could only wave her arm with all her might, begging the kind people outside to know that they were still alive.

'Please don't give up on us.'

'Please help us.'

Fortunately, this world was not completely indifferent. Seeing that there were still living people in the car, there would still be people who would reach out their hands to save them.

"Lisa, don't close your eyes. Look, they're saving us, please stay with me." Jennie whispered in his ear as she held onto Lisa's blood-stained clothes with her other hand. "Talk to me... Lisa... Say something, I beg you ..."

However, the person above her body didn't even move a finger. Jennie was crying silently, and her hand was still waving outside the window.

*Drip*

Lisa's blood slowly fell onto the ground. The fire slowly started to burn.

Finally, someone opened the car door from the outside. Someone's hand reached in and shouted, "How is the person inside? Are you all still alive?"

Jennie shouted out in a low voice.? "Alive! Everyone is alive! Please save us! My husband is injured! It's a very serious injury!"

"Alright, don't worry, we'll help you!"

Since Jennie's hand was extended out, she was the first one to be dragged out. Everyone saw that she was pregnant, but the blood on her body was not hers, and she seemed to be unharmed. Jennie immediately begged those people to save Lisa.? "Hurry and save my husband! Hurry and save him!"

When the rescue team heard that, they quickly moved to the sunken spot on the car and successfully rescued the person covered in blood inside.

As soon as Lisa was pulled out, Jennie threw herself at him, hugging his cold, bloodied body and crying, "Lisa! Lisa! Wake up ..."
