Chapter 77: Joy

While Alaukik and Ash were having their moment, Mayweather was walking around the ground guiding the other students as they fought each other.

Suddenly however, he heard a few loud gasps come from a corner of the field, and when he looked in that direction to see what was happening, he witnessed the scene of Alaukik choking the life out of Ash.

'What the hell?' thought Mayweather, before quickly dashing towards the two, shouting

"Hey you there! Stop choking him, now! I thought I told you that fatal moves are not allowed!"

However, he quickly realised that Alaukik either didn't hear him, or was ignoring him purposefully, either of which was not a good thing.

And so, as fast as he could, Mayweather reached the duo and quickly pulled Alaukik away from Ash.

With Alaukik's hand no longer holding him up in the air, Ash fell onto the ground, choking and coughing. Immediately after being released though, Ash quickly crawled away from Alaukik, intent on keeping his distance from him.

'What the f*** is wrong with this dude bro?' Ash thought, making sure to keep Alaukik within his sight.

'All I did was punch him, f***, did I even punch him? It felt like I punched rubber! And then all of a sudden he goes crazy! If I knew he was mentally ill I would've never approached him, no matter how interesting he seemed!'

Meanwhile, as Ash was slowly having a mental breakdown, Alaukik and Mayweather were locked in their own confrontation.

Glaring at Alaukik, Mayweather shouted,

"Did I not tell you that no fatal moves were to be used?! What would you do if that boy suffered serious injuries? Oh f*** off, I don't even want to talk to you now! You're gonna see me in my office at the end of the day. And refusing is not an option!" he added, noticing that Alaukik was going to say something.

Having berated Alaukik, Mayweather quickly made his way to Ash, kneeling down and trying to get a look at his injury.

"Are you okay boy? Can you stand up? Let's take you to the hospital and get you checked up quickly," said Mayweather, trying to help Ash stand up.

Pushing away Mayweather, Ash slowly picked himself up, albeit still a bit unstable. Taking unsteady steps, he slowly backed away from Alaukik, taking slow and wary steps, afraid that Alaukik might attack him again.

Meanwhile, as Ash slowly made his way out of the ground, Divya quickly made her way towards Alaukik. Walking up from behind him, she tapped his back to attract his attention.

Lazily turning his head towards her, he raised an eyebrow and said,

"What? Don't worry, I didn't seriously injure him. In fact, there is no-"

Shaking her head, Divya quickly stopped Alaukik before saying,

"I'm asking about you. How are you doing?"

Hearing this, Alaukik, who was not expecting such a question, stood speechless for a second, before smiling and saying,

"I'm fine, not much in this world can harm me."

And before Divya could process the smile she way seeing on Alaukik's face, a loud clap resounded through the grounds.

Clapping his hands, Mayweather brought everyone's back to him. Once he confirmed that everyone was paying attention of him, he said,

"Class is over kiddos. Go back home or wherever you want to go, just make sure not to end up dead in an alleyway ... or anywhere for that matter."

Turning to Alaukik with his eyes glowing with anger, Mayweather said,

"You however, you're staying. I want you in my cabin when I come back here," saying so, he quickly left, while also calling the ambulance to pick him and Ash up.

Looking at the angry coach storming off, Alaukik, scratching his head, said,

"I mean, it's not like I killed him..."

"That was still overboard however," said a voice beside Alaukik.

"Ha?" questioned Alaukik, looking at Lisa who had appeared beside him.

"No matter how he provoked you, there was no need for you to start choking him like that."

"Seriously? Angelina, seriously? You of all people can't really tell me that can you now?"

Stepping back, Lina narrowed her eyes as she looked at Alaukik,

"What do you mean by that?"

Letting out a chuckle, Alaukik quickly shook his hands.

"Nothing, nothing. It was just a joke, calm down. I swear I didn't mean anything by it."

Although she was not satisfied with his answer, Lina still nodded and simply stood beside the two of them.

'He's changed...?' thought Divya, gazing at Alaukik.

'Why does it feel like he's become a lot more comfortable suddenly? What happened between him and Ash?' wondered Divya, curious to know what could've changed Alaukik.

Meanwhile, Alaukik was back in his own mind, talking to OG.

'Aah, I think I acted too hastily. I should've waited until later.'

Running his hand through his hair, Alaukik considered the options he had now,

'Well, I think I can wait until later. Now that I think about it, this guy might not even know anything at all, and all I did was scare the crow away from its nest.'

'Then let's quickly go and interrogate this "Ash". He is our only lead now, and we cannot allow ourselves to lose him."

'Did you not just listen to what I said? We don't want to scare the crow. I've already marked him, and there's no way I'll lose him. All I need to do is wait for a bit and then I can talk to him about them on a later date.'

'Oh? You marked them just like you marked the twins? How did that work out for you?'

'That was different. Their markers were travelling all around the world. The moment Ash's marker goes outside this city, I will immediately teleport to him.'

'Will you be able to teleport?'

'I'm still the one in control here.'

'Indeed, for now at least...;

Shaking his head, Alaukik sighed and started making his way out of the ground. Seeing him move, Divya and Lisa also started following behind him.

As for the others, they had all left the moment Mayweather asked them to, not wanting to spend even a single second more near Alaukik.

'For now, I think it's best to simply act normal. I slipped up a bit against Angie Sirius due to my excitement at finding a clue, but I can't afford to make any more mistakes, especially since I'm not even sure he's a proper clue.'

'At this point, if Ash doesn't have any clues, I might just have to collaborate with the USNA government, and making an enemy out of Sirius right now is not the best way to go.'

Sorry for the horrible gaps between updates, I'm just floating up and down on the motivation levels. Also drafting another novel on the side... so yeah.
