Ran Family Villa.

It was a workday today, and both Ran Long and Zheng Qinyan had matters to attend to, so they weren't home during the day. Yu Ting drove over and was immediately greeted by a servant, who was about to go upstairs to notify the second young lady. However, Yu Ting asked them not to make a fuss and that she would go up to find her herself. The servant thought Yu Ting wanted to surprise Ran Xue and quickly fell silent.

Carrying a bag of breakfast, Yu Ting went up to the second floor of the Ran family home but passed by Ran Xue's room and stopped at another door behind her, gently knocking. Knowing that a sick person would have difficulty getting out of bed to open the door, Yu Ting tried pressing the doorknob and found it was unlocked, so she opened the door directly.

Upon entering, she was greeted by a faint scent of jasmine. Ran Ling was sitting up in bed, pretending to get up to open the door, her blankets slipping down and revealing her pale shoulder.

Her cheeks were flushed, and her gaze was weak as she looked toward the doorway. When she saw it was indeed Yu Ting, her eyes lit up with surprise and shyness.

Yu Ting smiled, greeting her: "Sister Ling."

As Yu Ting approached, Ran Ling followed her with her gaze. It wasn't until Yu Ting sat down beside her bed that she slowly blinked at her.

It looked like she hadn't gotten out of bed, exuding a lazy and disheveled vibe. Her long hair was tousled, and the shoulder strap of her nightgown hung loosely down her shoulder, making her look unconsciously sexy, like a lamb. The corners of her eyes were slightly red, resembling a fox.

"How come you have a fever?" Yu Ting reached out to touch her forehead, but Ran Ling lowered her eyes, her eyelashes trembling. When Yu Ting's palm rested on her forehead, it was indeed hot.

"Why didn't you tell the servants?"

Ran Ling shook her head. She looked so innocent and a bit pitiful, making one feel she was the one being bullied at home, not wanting to interact with the servants.

Yu Ting helped her prop up her pillow so she could lean back, then used a thermometer to check her temperature: thirty-eight point nine degrees—definitely a high fever.

"I didn't know what you liked to eat, so I just brought some porridge. You need to eat before taking your medicine, or it will hurt your stomach."

Ran Ling pressed her lips together, taking hold of Yu Ting's hand that was resting on the blanket and turning her palm up. The fingertips of someone with a fever were warm and sent a ticklish sensation through Yu Ting as she felt it. Ran Ling wrote in her palm: thank you.

"You don't need to thank me," Yu Ting smiled. "Fiancée."

"It's all my fault; I took you out in the wind last night," Yu Ting said, feeling guilty.

Ran Ling immediately shook her head, her expression sincere as she indicated she didn't blame her. Yu Ting tilted her head, sighing, "You're really nice."

So nice to bully.

She didn't say the last part aloud. Yu Ting opened the breakfast packaging, and the steaming porridge wafted a fragrant aroma, looking very appetizing.

"Shall I feed you?"

"......" Ran Ling showed an embarrassed expression. Yu Ting understood and scooped a spoonful of porridge, bringing it to her lips.

Yu Ting's actions were very natural, and the tenderness and care in her eyes made it seem as if they had been in love for a long time.

Ran Ling looked softly at her while taking the porridge into her mouth. Suddenly, Yu Ting's phone in her pocket vibrated; someone was calling.
