Ran Ling designed the wedding dress and the rings.

How could Ran Ling design those things?

Yu Ting suddenly realized how little she knew about Ran Ling. She knew almost nothing about her profession or her hobbies.

Previously, if Yu Ting had relied solely on her impressions and feelings about Ran Ling, she would have imagined her as someone who practiced classical dance, or perhaps, someone who painted traditional Chinese paintings.

It turned out that Yu Ting's imagination wasn't entirely off. After asking around, she found out that Ran Ling was a painter—though she primarily focused on oil painting—and she owned her own studio in Yun City. She was also a writer, having published several books and even won some awards.

At only thirty years old, Ran Ling was such a young and accomplished artist and creator... It surprised Yu Ting, though it also made sense. Yu Ting had long noticed that Ran Ling's personality, mannerisms, makeup, and clothing all seemed to carry an artistic flair.

Yu Ting stared blankly at her computer for a while before checking her phone again. Ran Ling still hadn't replied to her message.

Was she still asleep?

At this moment, Yu Ting was certain that was the case and didn't dwell on it too much.

She turned back to her own tasks. Time passed quickly, and before long, Old Master Yu called, asking her to come downstairs for dinner. After hanging up the phone, Yu Ting glanced at the time—it was already past five. Despite her heightened attention to Ran Ling's message thread, there was still no response.

Had Ran Ling still not woken up?

Yu Ting finally began to feel uncertain. She disliked having unresolved matters weighing on her mind, so she decided to go check on room [2203].

Closing her laptop and changing her clothes, Yu Ting opened the door, only to run into Old Master Yu's secretary.

"Oh, Miss Yu, are you ready? The chairman was worried about you... He asked me to come up and check."

Yu Ting had always been easygoing and rebellious, often treating Old Master Yu's words as mere background noise. He, on the other hand, was an impatient man. When she didn't show up on time, it was natural for him to send someone to hurry her along.

"I'm ready." Yu Ting smiled warmly, treating her like an elder. "Grandpa is so thoughtful, making you come all the way up here, Liu Jie."

Secretary Liu smiled in return. "It's no trouble."

They both got into the elevator. Secretary Liu pressed the button for their floor, and Yu Ting's gaze lingered on the 22nd-floor button for a moment. Her fingers twitched but eventually returned to their place.

In the private dining room, Old Master Yu's frustration had clearly been building. The moment he saw Yu Ting, he launched into a tirade, criticizing her for everything—disregarding his advice, being too casual, not considering the consequences, ignoring the feelings of Ran Ling's family, and not caring about his dignity as her grandfather.

"Really? I've been so busy overseas. I even came back a few days early. Grandpa, you should be praising me, not scolding me. Don't you know that being too harsh can turn a child rebellious?" Yu Ting said lazily, taking a sip of tea.

"Busy? You're busy doing nothing! I don't even know how to talk to you anymore!"

Yu Ting replied unhurriedly, "Then perhaps you shouldn't. Let's talk about something you'd enjoy."
