That day, Yu Ting stood in the icy, frozen world for a long time, dazed.

It felt as if her consciousness and ability had been stripped away, leaving her motionless. Her brain struggled to process the message of Ran Ling's departure, digesting it slowly, like a rusty old machine.

"What does it mean that she feels she can't endure any longer? What's wrong with her body...?"

"What's wrong with her body?" Yu Ting's voice trembled, her eyes reddened as she looked at the store clerk, leaning against the wall to keep from falling.

"She just feels very unwell... Are you okay? You don't look well either..."

"Where did she go?"

"I don't know; I only know she's going abroad."

"What about Pei Ya?"

"Miss Pei isn't coming in today." The clerk was almost in tears from the urgency of the situation.

"I'll add you on WeChat. You give me her contact information..."

"Okay, okay." The clerk hurriedly took out her phone to scan the QR code Yu Ting offered, sending a friend request, looking at her helplessly, "Yu... Yu Zong... you..."

Yu Ting pressed her pale lips together, feeling a surge of blood rushing to her head. She slowly turned and got into the car, collapsing onto the seat as she closed the door.

Seeing that things were not looking good, the driver hurried her to the hospital.

After two days without sleep and hardly eating, finally, her mind and body could no longer bear the impact, and she fell into a deep coma for two full days before waking up.

Two days later, she opened her eyes to a world utterly devoid of Ran Ling.

Silent, without a trace.

The clerk didn't know where Ran Ling had gone, nor did any of the other employees at Waiting for the Bloom. Ran Long and Zheng Qinyan had firmly established their foothold in the Ran family due to their arranged marriage, their status far surpassing that of their siblings. Even their divorce hadn't significantly impacted them; they were busy with business matters and had even disregarded the increasingly unstable Ran Xue. Naturally, they had no idea where Ran Ling had gone.

Pei Ya must know.

Yu Ting swallowed her pride to find her, calling her, trying to add her on WeChat. But she ignored her and disappeared, leaving Yu Ting unable to see or find Ran Ling.

Yu Ting asked Jin Ya to investigate, but it seemed Ran Ling was intentionally hiding, as they could only determine she had gone to some country in Southeast Asia for the time being.

It was hard to track her specific whereabouts, and Jin Ya told Yu Ting to wait. Of course, Yu Ting waited, but the withdrawal symptoms were overwhelming.

Ran Ling was gone. She left quietly, without warning, without notice, even with a gentle touch, but she left a massive void in Yu Ting's world. This void brought in a tempest, a storm that rushed in with her illness, bearing down heavily.

Yu Ting was isolated and helpless. She was afraid—terrified. She couldn't stay in the hospital, so she fled back home, locking herself away, hiding in the small, dark closet, curled up with a pile of clothes. The clothes weren't even Ran Ling's and didn't carry her scent. Ran Ling left nothing behind; she left cleanly, as if she had never been there. The clothes were Yu Ting's own; she thought maybe they would be somewhat useful since they had once been together with Ran Ling's clothes.
