The rain outside continued unabated, now accompanied by thunder and lightning. Several flashes of lightning brightened the room, but neither of the two people within seemed to notice. Since reuniting, they hadn't exchanged a single word, yet their bodies remained locked in a silent, passionate embrace. Ran Ling's lips were warm and soft, tinged with sweetness, and her neck still carried that familiar floral fragrance that Yu Ting had missed. Releasing her now flushed and swollen lips, Yu Ting's mouth trailed down, grazing the side of Ran Ling's neck before gently nibbling her, drawing a soft gasp from her.

Instinctively, Ran Ling seemed to want to push Yu Ting's face away, but she stopped short, instead resting her hands gently against Yu Ting's cheek, holding her softly. She lowered her damp, misty gaze to look at her. From this angle, she could only see Yu Ting's elegantly defined jawline and the redness of her ears. Strong as she was, Yu Ting had her face buried in Ran Ling's neck, seemingly endlessly seeking her warmth.

Her breath, hot and erratic, fell against Ran Ling's sensitive skin, sending shivers through her. As Yu Ting continued to press her lips over her skin, Ran Ling's legs and waist softened, and she instinctively clung to Yu Ting's hair, a quiet cry escaping her lips. The support of the glass behind her was the only thing keeping her standing.

Yu Ting's persistence was unrelenting, holding her tightly in that heated embrace, as if there were no end. And Ran Ling allowed herself to be embraced and kissed, reciprocating each demand with all the patience and warmth she could give.

After some time, when they finally paused, the room was filled with the sound of their ragged breaths. Ran Ling's delicate camisole strap had slipped to her arm, but she lacked the strength to pull it back up, sagging into Yu Ting's embrace.

Yu Ting held her waist, steadying her securely.

At last, satisfied, Yu Ting pulled away slightly, and the marks of her kisses dotted Ran Ling's neck and collarbone.

"Why are you still awake this late?" Yu Ting's hushed voice, rough with emotion, broke the silence as she gazed at the marks she'd left, her tone soft and tender.

It was the first thing she'd said since coming back, and Ran Ling, snuggled in her arms, shook her head slightly, unable or perhaps unwilling to answer.

Yu Ting wasn't oblivious; she understood everything, as always. She'd known all along. The moment she'd said those teasing words earlier, Ran Ling had fallen into a spiral of anxiety, probably unable to sleep at all.

How could Ran Ling have guessed that Yu Ting's parting words were just a ruse? She had spoken as if she wouldn't be back, yet here she was, returning in the late night rain. It was both unlike and entirely in character for her to do so.

Yu Ting always did exactly as she wished.

The person in front of her was maddening, frustrating, and yet beloved.

Feeling somehow both annoyed and utterly in love, Ran Ling pulled her even closer, her chest still heaving, her body soft and warm against Yu Ting's steadying hold.

Yu Ting moved to stand behind Ran Ling, wrapping her arms around her, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her flushed cheek. "I was wondering if you'd run out of the ones we got before," she murmured. "Ling-jie, you're always so thoughtful."

Ran Ling kept her gaze lowered, her cheeks bright red.

...

Yu Ting had always liked the subtle scent of Ran Ling's go-to sleep blend, a calming aroma that seemed to fill the air. She even took the time to light it herself, setting the mood with warm, amber-toned lighting that cast a soft glow over the room. With the rain dampening sounds from the outside, the space felt warm and cozy, almost like a hidden world just for the two of them.

Yu Ting leaned back lazily against the bed's headboard, while Ran Ling sat, undressed, on her lap. One hand was braced on Yu Ting's shoulder, the other held a soft, fluffy tail. As she tried to adjust it, her brows furrowed, her face growing warmer by the second, a light blush spreading as she fumbled with the tail. The fluffy end brushed against Yu Ting's bare thigh, sending tingles through her with each little stroke, yet she still wasn't done.

Yu Ting tilted her head, smirking slightly as she nudged her, watching her with amused eyes. "Still not ready?"

"Weren't you so quick last time when we were video chatting?"

"Do you need some help with it?"

Ran Ling glanced back, shaking her head insistently, determined to finish on her own.

She was clearly shy, but now her focus seemed to take over. Watching her like this, Yu Ting couldn't resist leaning forward and pressing a light kiss to the tip of her exposed ear, feeling her flinch at the sensation. Ran Ling didn't respond, allowing Yu Ting to nibble on her ear as she continued, though her breathing grew shallow until finally, she managed it, letting out a soft, relieved sound.

Yu Ting whispered against her neck, "Baby, do you know how needy you look right now?"

Ran Ling blushed even deeper, but didn't respond. Yu Ting could tell her mind was already swirling with embarrassment.

"Alright, let's change things up," Yu Ting suggested softly, "Lie down so I can see you properly."

Unable to resist, Ran Ling let Yu Ting guide her to lie face-down, burying her head in the pillow.

"How cute."

"Aren't you worried you'll suffocate?" Yu Ting's teasing voice floated from behind, her presence close as Ran Ling tensed under her gaze, feeling the light brush of Yu Ting's fingers along her back.

Such a sensitive little one.

With Ran Ling in this state, Yu Ting's gentleness surfaced naturally. As she leaned down, she lifted Ran Ling's face to hers, their lips meeting in a tender kiss. "You're so lovely, sweetheart," she whispered. "I missed you so much."

A soft sound escaped Ran Ling as her defenses softened; her lips instinctively parted in response to Yu Ting's, savoring the warmth of being wrapped in Yu Ting's arms.

In Yu Ting's gentle hands, Ran Ling surrendered fully, her quiet voice growing even softer and warmer, more relaxed as her body gave in.

"Ling-jie, you sound so lovely..." Yu Ting murmured, "You're perfect."

Perfect? Ran Ling thought in a daze, warmth spreading over her as Yu Ting continued to whisper her affections. Her face against the pillow, she let her gaze drift to the soft patterns on the wall, enchanted by the way the light played off the shadows. She didn't even notice when Yu Ting lifted her weight and pulled away, leaving her lying on the pillow.

It wasn't until she sensed Yu Ting's absence that she turned, confused, only to find Yu Ting holding her phone, a playful smirk gracing her face as she angled it towards her.

Ran Ling froze in shock, overcome with embarrassment. She made a feeble attempt to shield herself, but Yu Ting held her firmly in place, a hint of mischief in her smile. Caught in her vulnerability, Ran Ling squeezed her eyes shut, clutching the pillow.

A rush of emotions—helplessness, shyness, desire—washed over her, all caught on video.

Instead of soothing her, Yu Ting's mischievous voice teased her further, "Didn't you send me a video like this before? Why so shy now, Ling-jie?"
