"Miss, Yu has not returned to the apartment, nor has she gone to the company or the villa."

The temperature difference in Yuncheng during spring is significant; at eleven o'clock at night, it had dropped nearly ten degrees compared to the evening. The cold wind howled, and Yu Ting had been missing for nearly seven hours.

Ran Ling had sensed the seriousness of the situation when Yu Ting drove away in the evening. She immediately contacted her assistant and bodyguard to search for her, sending Yu Ting messages. There was no reply, and when she tried to call, the phone was turned off. Yu Ting hadn't returned home or gone anywhere she might have gone, leaving them in the dark about her whereabouts.

She had vanished—Yu Ting was a patient who couldn't control her emotions. When she left, she was already on the verge of collapse, and driving in that state was extremely dangerous. Even if nothing happened while driving, being alone like that, without medication, and without anyone by her side—how would she cope? What might happen was unimaginable.

Ran Ling asked, "Where is her car?"

"Search for it, continue the search. Investigate all her properties and hotels under her name. We must find her," Ran Ling commanded.

"If we still can't find her by tomorrow, we'll call the police," she added.

Ran Ling traveled between various locations to look for her. Su Nian hadn't left; she stayed with her but couldn't be of any real help.

Indeed, she had had a period with Yu Ting when they met by chance when Yu Ting was just a teenager. Su Nian was merely drawn to her looks, and their communication had been superficial. It had been too long, and she couldn't remember much. She didn't know where this seemingly proud and powerful child would hide when she broke down.

She really hadn't expected to be so entangled with Yu Ting again, had it not been for her later encounter with Ran Ling.

Where could she go?

Did she have a refuge? Where could she find comfort for her despair?

How desperate was she? Su Nian couldn't empathize, and of course, neither could Ran Ling.

Only the anxious feeling persisted until dawn. Finally, Ran Ling received news from her bodyguard: Yu Ting had checked into a certain hotel at midnight. She had locked herself in her room, and no one could communicate with her.

Ran Ling messaged: "Don't disturb her, don't let her leave. I'll be there in twenty minutes."

"Do you want me to go with you?" Su Nian asked.

Ran Ling shook her head, telling her to go back and rest. The reason she had invited Su Nian to come along yesterday was not without purpose—Su Nian could talk and explain things more clearly. Ran Ling hadn't anticipated that Yu Ting wouldn't want to listen to her at all.

Yu Ting only wanted to hear from Ran Ling.

Now, bringing Su Nian along wouldn't help; it would only serve to agitate Yu Ting further.

Ran Ling brought two bodyguards with her. A little over ten minutes later, she arrived at the hotel. The hotel manager came out to greet her and informed her that Yu Ting had checked in at midnight the previous day, and when she arrived, her mental state was already quite poor. They had attempted to communicate after receiving the news, but she had refused to engage, and they didn't dare to intrude.

"Have her give me the room key," Ran Ling frowned and signed to the bodyguard beside her.

"Give the room key to Miss Ran," the manager promptly responded.
