One time, Yu Ting went to the bar to work and chatted with the drunken Qi Min. Qi Min had come to the bar again to drown her sorrows, knowing she would get free drinks there. It wasn't just about the money; she also felt secure knowing someone would drive her home.

The completely drunk woman collapsed on the couch, her once-red hair now dyed a copper-brown, giving her a more mature appearance. Yu Ting hadn't heard any news about Qi Min dating or having any ambiguous relationships lately. She asked Qi Min if she had pursued Jin Ya, to which Qi Min replied no. Suddenly, Qi Min asked Yu Ting if she had gotten back together with Ran Ling.

Qi Min was truly drunk, having forgotten that Yu Ting and Ran Ling had already been registered as a couple for nearly a year. Qi Min then asked Yu Ting when she might get tired of Ran Ling.

You used to get tired of people so easily, just like before. You've really changed into someone so obedient.

In the past, Yu Ting was a proud person who only saw herself. Selfish enough, emotionally rich, she had many admirers but remained carefree since she didn't invest her heart. Why did she end up falling for Ran Ling? Why hadn't she opened her heart to others who were genuinely fond of her? Because Ran Ling was ruthless. Ran Ling had forcefully pried open her heart, using every means without showing any mercy or pain, breaking her bones and teaching her to walk again. How could she ever leave her? The pain of her illness that had surged upon leaving was like the excruciating ache of broken bones, terrifying just to think about; this was the outcome Ran Ling desired.

Clearly, she had succeeded; Yu Ting now didn't dare to even imagine leaving Ran Ling.

It was an invisible spiritual confinement, and the longer she spent with that woman, the more infatuated she became. Ran Ling's natural charm blocked all escape routes, making it even more unimaginable to consider leaving.

Perhaps Yu Ting's life could have other salvations, but Ran Ling had forcefully closed off all possibilities; she had already claimed her.

Completely drunk, Qi Min rambled on, saying that Jin Ya was heartless, flawless, and their relationship couldn't progress, stuck at the simple name "Xiao Ya." In fact, Qi Min hadn't planned anything at first; it just happened that Yu Ting brought back an acquaintance from her return to the country. Initially indifferent, they met a few more times, and Qi Min thought about showing concern for her former sister. After persistent interactions, it seemed to turn into a story of unrequited longing.

"She's been getting really close to that crow lately."

Yu Ting thought for a moment, "Pei Ya?"

Qi Min indignantly replied, "That crow, always dressed in black! You think she imagines she's a crow? Always speaking in an affected way, acting like she's Count Crow or something?"

That woman really was pretentious, Yu Ting thought.

Qi Min opened her eyes slightly and asked, "Do you think... Xiao Ya might fall for her?"

"Maybe?" That was Yu Ting's gut feeling.

After all, they seemed evenly matched, like strangers yet somehow fellow travelers, sharing many common topics. This was Yu Ting's limited impression.

Yu Ting added, "But I hope she doesn't."

"A Ting, you really are on my side."

"No, it's just that I also dislike crows." She simply didn't want to see her doing well.

Qi Min chuckled, clearly thinking of something: "Because she's your Ling sister's lapdog, right?"

Yu Ting frowned.
