Yu Ting anticipated that Ran Ling would definitely make a fuss upon waking up and not finding anyone, so she left her a message in advance. She took a picture of her hand resting on her thigh and her upper body leaning back against the seat, with her face not visible. On her hand was the wedding ring she designed herself, and hanging on her collarbone was the necklace that Ran Ling made for her, above her plunging V-neck black corset dress.

"Sister is sleeping too soundly; I can't wake her up at all."

Instead, the responsibility was pushed onto Ran Ling.

After a two-hour flight, they arrived in the capital, with a packed itinerary for the day. On the way to meet a client, her assistant was reporting work beside her. Yu Ting opened WeChat and, sure enough, there was a message from Ran Ling.

It was sent an hour ago.

The woman wasn't throwing a tantrum; instead, she complimented Yu Ting's hands and said how pretty she looked wearing the necklace. She said good morning and informed her that she had woken up. Half an hour later, she forwarded a video of a cat eating that the owner of the cat shelter had taken for her, with the caption: "So cute, I really want to pet it!"

Yu Ting didn't open the video to watch. Instead, she asked, "Have you gotten out of bed?"

Ran Ling replied instantly: "Not yet, still lying in bed."

She had been awake for more than an hour; how could she still be in bed? Isn't she getting up for breakfast?

Yu Ting could imagine her, perhaps, lazily rolling over in bed while hugging a pillow, concentrating on her phone as she replied to Yu Ting's message.

Yu Ting said, "Get up and eat breakfast; you need to take your medicine after breakfast."

Ran Ling didn't respond.

Yu Ting patiently waited for two minutes, looking at the chat box until Ran Ling asked, "Did you get off the plane?"

Yu Ting replied, "Yeah."

Ran Ling seemed a bit annoyed but with a hint of playful reproach: "I hate you."

"Ha..."

Yu Ting chuckled lightly, rare to coax her, and sent a voice message: "Be good; get up. When I get back, I'll go with you to see the cats."

Yu Ting's deliberately lowered voice was filled with a lazy, superior charm, sexy and pleasant, and the condition she proposed to make her be good was quite tempting.

After a while, Sister Ling "tapped" Yu Ting.

What does this mean?

It meant she was shy, rolling around in bed, unsure of what to reply.

After a while, she finally composed herself and replied, "Okay, I'm getting up. Yu Ting, you're busy; make sure to rest too."

Yu Ting didn't reply, and their unspoken conversation came to an end. Afterwards, she became busy but took her phone out multiple times to check, only to see that the pinned chat was still silent.

For several hours, Ran Ling hadn't sent her any more messages.

What was she doing?

Yu Ting checked her location and saw that she was still at home.

Was she painting or fussing over her flowers?

Yu Ting couldn't tell and was soon pulled back into work.

It wasn't until evening that her day's work finally came to a close.

After having dinner with the client and discussing matters without any additional drinking engagements, she was left with a young woman who was well-dressed in a suit, with light makeup and long black hair pulled back, looking tidy. She often wore a neutral expression, serious and meticulous in her work.
