Ran Ling noticed that Yu Ting remained silent and grew anxious, frowning as she typed: "Does Ting really have to have physical contact with her? Doesn't she see that the other woman is interested in her?"

Yu Ting replied, "She's interested in me?"

Ran Ling asserted: "The way she looked at you that day was definitely not innocent."

Yu Ting had always been perceptive about such matters, and Ran Ling knew she understood.

"Maybe," Yu Ting repeated, "but I have no feelings for her, and nothing will happen between us. You need to believe that."

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, Ran Ling looked up at Yu Ting, who stood beside the bed and asked in return, "Am I now only supposed to like you? Are you doubting that?"

Ran Ling, feeling the urge to speak out of desperation, realized she couldn't and quickly started typing again. Yu Ting waited silently, her face expressionless.

Worried about Yu Ting's patience running thin, Ran Ling typed rapidly, handing her the phone after about half a minute.

She wrote: "But I'll think about it a lot. I'll feel uneasy, unhappy, and scared. I don't like this. Ting is my girlfriend; we're married. I don't want you to have intimate contact with someone you've had feelings for in the past. Even if she's just a client, it's not necessary to hug her, right? I'll feel really uncomfortable..."

The lengthy message clearly showed her anxiety. Compared to Yu Ting's calm demeanor, Ran Ling looked on the verge of tears, her eyes reddened and glistening with unshed tears. She knelt up, holding Yu Ting's wrist, gazing up at her pleadingly.

Ting, please be good.

Yu Ting glanced at the phone, unsure if she had read all of it, not knowing if she truly absorbed Ran Ling's words. She sighed, lifting her head to say, "That's true. But I'm only doing it to make things easier. I'm negotiating with her for business. To ensure everything goes smoothly, I thought I'd just follow her wishes on these trivial matters. I didn't expect you to care so much."

Yu Ting softened her tone and continued, "Of course, you're my girlfriend. If Sister Ling really cares about this, I'll pay more attention next time."

After saying that, she bent down, took Ran Ling's wrist, and pulled her into an embrace, whispering softly in her ear, "Don't be sad; it's my fault."

Ran Ling tightly wrapped her arms around Yu Ting's shoulders, burying her slightly damp face into her neck. Yu Ting glanced at the clock on the wall and reached up to smooth Ran Ling's hair, wanting to withdraw, "Alright, I need to go to work."

Ran Ling pulled away from her arms and pulled out her phone again to ask: "Ting, are you going to see her today too?"

"Yes," Yu Ting didn't hide it, "I'll have to interact with her for a while. This is not something I can choose. This project is important for the Yu family."

Ran Ling knew there was no way around it and didn't make any excessive demands, merely reminding her: "Then Ting needs to remember to keep a distance from her."

"Mm. Okay..." Yu Ting readily agreed, noticing how Ran Ling seemed to compromise but also found her slightly adorable as she looked like she was about to cry because of her closeness to someone else. She couldn't help but tilt Ran Ling's chin up and gently kiss her lips.

"Sister Ling, can I go out now?" Immediately after, Yu Ting asked her "obediently."

Ran Ling hesitated for a moment but still shook her head, unwilling to let her go.
