That night, Ran Ling did not sleep soundly.

At seven o'clock in the morning, Yu Ting's alarm clock rang punctually. Although she turned it off almost immediately, it still woke up the person beside her.

Ran Ling was not in deep sleep; she was probably in a restless state and couldn't tolerate even the slightest noise. She opened her eyes and saw Yu Ting getting out of bed. Drowsily, she propped herself up and also tried to get up.

The blanket slipped off her body, and the woman, half-awake, exuded a languid, silky comfort, soft as water, floating with desire in her heart.

This was Ran Ling; she always seemed especially enchanting at such moments.

Yu Ting looked down at her and affectionately stroked her hair, softly asking, "It's still early; why don't you sleep a little longer?"

During their time together on the island, she was always the one who loved to sleep in. Sometimes Yu Ting would be awake for two or three hours while she remained asleep.

Ran Ling shook her head, rubbed her eyes, and sleepily hugged Yu Ting, feeling a sticky yet aggrieved sensation, as if she had a nightmare about Yu Ting leaving her last night, and the fear still lingered.

She looked up at Yu Ting, her desire for closeness unmasked in her hazy eyes, tightening her embrace and leaning affectionately on her shoulder.

Her embrace was natural and clingy; Yu Ting was used to the strange sense of boundaries from her sister Ling and did not resist such intimacy, softly asking, "What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"

Yu Ting's voice was pleasant, slightly husky, like a spring breeze, gentle yet sensual.

Ran Ling's heart fluttered at the sound; she loved how Yu Ting spoke to her with such tenderness and nodded in her neck. She knew that having a nightmare entitled her to comfort, and this embrace could last a little longer.

"Nightmares are all fake."

Yu Ting helped her smooth her slightly disheveled long hair, feeling her fingers gently tracing letters on her bare back, sending tingling sensations down her spine:

[Good morning]

So this was Ling Jie's way of saying good morning. Yu Ting squinted and smiled, "Good morning."

At seven o'clock, the world was just awakening, and the fresh air was a special compensation for those who rose early. With so many flowers planted, the yard must be filled with fragrant aromas. Ran Ling needed nothing else; she only wanted Yu Ting, wanting to stay in her embrace and not get up, especially willful.

Would Ting Ting think she was too clingy?

Fortunately, Yu Ting was very patient today, letting her hold on and occasionally patting her back, which eased Ran Ling's anxiety without amplifying it. Once the strong sense of insecurity faded, she reluctantly emerged from Yu Ting's arms, but her gaze still showed deep attachment.

—Was Ting Ting getting up to wash up?

Setting an alarm for seven o'clock must mean she had something to do, and it seemed she had wasted so much of her time.

Ran Ling's eyes revealed guilt, but Yu Ting didn't mind, telling her, "I'm going to the gym. If you want to have breakfast together, you can sleep a little longer. I'll come to wake you up after I shower."

Ran Ling certainly wanted to eat breakfast with Yu Ting, which was why she insisted on getting up despite not having slept enough. She immediately nodded.
